Night Driver is an Atari ArcadeGame from 1976. It's the first first-person DrivingGame.

You drive a sports car down a twisty road in the middle of the night. The only things visible are your car (a screen overlay) and the reflectors on the sides of the road. You have 100 seconds to score two kinds of points: one for distance traveled, and one for top speed. If you crash, you don't die, you just stop and then get going again. There are three tracks, each with different difficulty.

A home version of the game was released for the Atari 2600, which periodically featured oncoming cars to be avoided.

Not to be confused with VideoGame/NightStriker, another game that features cars driving in the night.
