A series of multiconsole video games [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover combining multiple cartoons]] featured on the children's TV network {{Creator/Nickelodeon}}. Only the first game in this series goes by the title ''Nicktoons Unite!'', but considering all four games are about Nicktoons characters joining forces to defeat a common enemy, we might as well consider it the name of the series as well.

''Nicktoons Unite!'': [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutron Professor Calamitous]] joins forces with [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Plankton]], [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddparents Mr. Crocker]], and [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Vlad Plasmius]] to form an [[LegionOfDoom Evil Syndicate]]. They start stealing energy from their respective worlds in order to power a DoomsdayDevice to [[EarthShatteringKaboom blow up the multiverse]]. To counter this, JimmyNeutron recruits WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants, [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddparents Timmy Turner]] (who is of course accompanied by Cosmo and Wanda), and WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom to help him venture into their worlds to stop the villains. Released for UsefulNotes/PlayStation2, UsefulNotes/GameBoyAdvance, and UsefulNotes/GameCube in 2005, and UsefulNotes/NintendoDS in 2006.

''Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island'': Spongebob, Timmy, and Danny reunite, accompanied by co-stars [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Patrick, Sandy]], and [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Sam Manson]], having been picked by a Wise Old Crab to save Volcano Island from a new villain named the Mawgu. [[DemotedToExtra Jimmy notably sits this one out and]] [[MissionControl communicates with the heroes behind the scenes.]]

''Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots'': Professor Calamitous returns, this time planning to [[TakeOverTheWorld take over the multiverse]] with his army of Toybots, fueled by Ghost energy combined with the fart gas of fairies having been fed Krabby Patties. Spongebob, Patrick, Jimmy, Timmy, Danny, Sam, and newcomer [[WesternAnimation/TakAndThePowerOfJuju Tak]] team up to collect master models (collectibles said to hold data that Calamitous scanned from characters around the multiverse that he kidnapped and then dumped back to keep his plan secret) for the Chadbot, a robot servant of Calamitous' who claims he will help them. Along the way, they rescue starring characters from other Nicktoons, including [[WesternAnimation/RenAndStimpy Stimpy]] and [[WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife Rocko]] in the console versions, WesternAnimation/InvaderZim, [[WesternAnimation/{{Catscratch}} Mr. Blik]], and WesternAnimation/ElTigre in the UsefulNotes/NintendoDS version, and [[WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot Jenny Wakeman]] and [[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim GIR]] in both.

''Spongebob Squarepants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom'': A slimy cyclops alien race known as the Morphoids and their strange orange goo envelop the Nicktoons' worlds, enslaving all innocent bystanders, so the heroes (Jimmy, Spongebob, Patrick, Danny, and Tak) join forces with the Evil Syndicate (now made up of [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Technus]], [[JimmyNeutron Beautiful Gorgeous]], and [[WesternAnimation/TakAndThePowerOfJuju Traloc]], with Plankton the only "veteran" member) to get to the bottom of it. In addition, WesternAnimation/InvaderZim lies his way onto the heroes' side (claiming he's "not evil, just curious"), prompting his nemesis Dib to join the Evil Syndicate. They eventually find out the cause of it all as a result of the BigBad, an alien named Globulous, continually [[BodySnatcher body snatching]] Spongebob because he's sick of his life. In spite of having Zim as a new main character to accompany them, ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddparents'' [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome characters are oddly absent from this one.]] [[FranchiseKiller It killed the series.]]

This series was "succeeded" in 2011 by ''NicktoonsMLB''.

----
!!These games contain examples of:

* AbsurdlySpaciousSewer: The first stages of Bikini Bottom and Zim Town in ''Globs of Doom'' have sections where you go inside sewer tunnels filled with Morphoid goo.
* AdaptationalBadass: A lot of the characters in this series normally wouldn't be likely to put up much of a fight against some of the {{Mooks}} in the series, but in these games, they're all more than capable of kicking ass. Special mention goes to [[WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife Rocko]], who goes from timid everyman to being able to destroy killer toys.
* AmusementPark: The first Retroville stage in ''Globs of Doom'', which takes place in Retroland.
* AntiClimax: The ending of ''Attack of the Toybots''. [[spoiler:Unless you're playing the DS Version, there is no FinalBoss like the previous games before it. Instead, the Nicktoons storm into Calamitous' room only to find out that the entire Toybot conflict was just part of a game show called "The Biggest Genius", which Calamitous seeks to win. Calamitous ultimately loses out the game show to his minion Chadbot who then proceeds to humiliate Calamitous by shaving his mustache off with a razor, and the cutscene just ends there, leaving the whole Toybot conflict unresolved.]]
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Early on in ''Globs of Doom'', [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Bubble Bass]] eats some of the goo and grows large enough to lift the Krusty Krab into the air, setting up the first boss fight.
* BadassBookworm: Jimmy Neutron, especially in the first game.
* TheBadGuysWin: [[spoiler: A [[MultipleEndings secret ending]] for ''Globs of Doom'' has the villains defeat Globulous and the heroes. The villains are then seen playing cards after trapping Globulous in a jar.]]
* BeYourself: How [=SpongeBob=] got [[spoiler:Globulous]] to do a HeelFaceTurn. And then he shapeshifted into [[spoiler:a giant, slimy cyclops [=SpongeBob=]]]. [[BrokenAesop Uh huh]].
* BigBad: The Mawgu in "''Battle for Volcano Island''", Professor Calamitous by himself in "''Attack of the Toybots''" and [[spoiler:Globulous Maximus]] in "''Globs of Doom''".
* BigBadDuumvirate: The Evil Syndicate, a group of Nickelodeon villains respective to each main character in the games. If the game has a Duumvirate, you can safely place your bets on them ending up as the main villains, [[spoiler:even when they seem to be helping at first]].
* BigBoosHaunt: The Ghost Zone Prison in ''Nicktoons Unite''. Overlaps with TheAlcatraz.
* BigFancyCastle: Vlad's Castle and Crocker's Fortress in ''Nicktoons Unite''.
* BigGood: Jimmy Neutron in ''Unite!'', The Wise Old Crab in ''Battle for Volcano Island'' and ''Globs of Doom''", and the Chad-Bot in ''Attack of the Toybots''.
* BleakLevel: Haunted Amity Park in ''Nicktoons Unite'', where the citizens are possessed by ghosts and need to be exorcised by Danny.
* BlowYouAway: Jimmy's main weapon in ''Nicktoons Unite'' is a tornado blaster, which shoots bursts of air.
* BubblyClouds: Fairy World in ''Nicktoons Unite'' and ''Attack of the Toybots''.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Despite being one of the main characters in the first three games, Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda are completely absent from the fourth game without a mention.
* ContinuityNod:
** When Timmy flirts with her in the first game, Cindy replies, "Hi Timmy. I didn't know you were back in Retroville.", referring to their encounters in the three ''Jimmy Timmy Power Hours''.
** ''Globs of Doom'' features a boss fight with Bubble Bass, a ''[=SpongeBob=]'' character not seen since the first season (with the exception of the promotional music video for the Sponge Out of Water Movie, but this was released several years after this video game.)
** [=DoodleBob=], a one-time villain from the ''[=SpongeBob=]'' episode, ''[=Frankendoodle=]'' is appears as one of [=SpongeBob's=] attacks in the first game.
* CrisisCrossover
* DarkerAndEdgier: Compared to the sequels, the first game is DarkerAndEdgier, both in music and threats, and with less cartoonish and comedic moments. The sequels, however, are much more LighterAndSofter.
* DemotedToExtra:
** Jimmy goes from a playable character in ''Nicktoons Unite'' to non-playable MissionControl in ''Volcano Island'', before becoming playable again for the rest of the series.
** Patrick goes from a playable character in ''Volcano Island'' and ''Attack Of The Toybots'' to background character that spouts nonsense in ''Globs of Doom.''
** The Mawgu goes from the BigBad of ''Volcano Island'' to a brief joke in the intro of ''Attack Of The Toybots''.
** Timmy is only playable in one level in ''Volcano Island'' and is absent entirely in ''Globs of Doom''.
* DerelictGraveyard: Shipwreck Cliff in ''Battle for Volcano Island''.
* DownInTheDumps: The second Bikini Bottom stage in ''Globs of Doom''.
* DualBoss: The DS version of ''Globs of Doom'' has the infected [[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim Almighty Tallest]] as the penultimate bosses.
* EasterEgg:
** In ''Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots'', the boxes for the evil teddy bears [[https://tcrf.net/Nicktoons:_Attack_of_the_Toybots_(Wii) have secret messages on their boxes that can only be found by digging in the game files]]. They say that the toys are for ages [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids 18 and up]], and were made by "[[EvilInc EvilToysCo]]". They also have extremely unnerving messages saying "[[KillerRabbit I'LL HUG YOU AND KILL YOU]]. [[NightmareFuel YOU'LL NEVER SLEEP AGAIN]]. [[AndYourLittleDogToo I'LL KILL YOUR PARENTS]]."
** The console versions of ''Globs of Doom'' have an [[spoiler: alternate ending where TheBadGuysWin. To get this ending, it has to be on a save file where the final boss hasn't been defeated. For the first part of the battle, multiplayer must be activated, so that when the phase where the player controls Globulous against the giant robot begins, the second player will be in control of the robot. The player in control of the robot must then defeat Globulous for the [[EarnYourBadEnding villain ending]].]]
%%* EnemyMine: ''Globs of Doom''.
* EternalEngine:
** The near-entirety of ''Attack of the Toybots'' takes place in one.
** Plankton's Jellyfish Factory in ''Nicktoons Unite''.
* EverythingsBetterWithSpinning: Rocko attacks by spinning.
* FantasticVoyagePlot:
** The final level of ''Nicktoons Unite'' is outright called "Fantastic Voyage of Goddard"; there, the party shrink themselves to hunt down a giant fleabot inside Goddard that spies for and holds the coordinates to Calamitous' secret hideout.
** The battle against the Girl-Eating Plant in ''Globs of Doom'' has you trying find a way to get swallowed by it so that you can beat up its innards.
* FlunkyBoss: Everyone in ''Nicktoons Unite'', and everyone but the final boss in ''Globs of Doom''. Crocker even shouts out for mooks to appear.
* GameBreakingBug: The console versions of ''Globs of Doom'' have a particularly nasty one where it causes the save files to become corrupt and unplayable, pretty much forcing the player to start the game all the way from the beginning again. This has contributed to the [[FranchiseKiller death of the Nicktoons crossover series]].
* GameplayAndStorySegregation:
** Due to not being able to choose which characters you use in ''Volcano Island'', some cutscenes have different teams from gameplay: Fetid Forest has you use a team of SpongeBob, Danny, Patrick and Sandy, but the cutscenes at the end of the level have Sam instead of Patrick, despite Sam not participating in the level. Similarly, Ancient's Peak has a team of SpongeBob, Danny, Sam and Sandy, but Patrick replaces Sam in the end-of-level cutscene.
* GiantEnemyCrab: Plankton's mecha in ''Nicktoons Unite''.
* GoofyPrintUnderwear: Knock off the skirtlike casing of one particular type of robotic enemy in ''Attack of The Toybots'', and they'll be revealed to be wearing what looks like polka-dot underwear.
* GreenHillZone: Jellyfish Fields in ''Nicktoons Unite'' and the second Zim Town stage in ''Globs of Doom''.
* GuideDangIt: ''Volcano Island'' has some in the case of Patrick and Sandy's unlockable costumes. While SpongeBob, Danny, Sam and Timmy all have collectibles that can easily be found by just going though the levels normally, Patrick and Sandy's collectables are much more vague. Patrick requires tusks, which you can only collect by attacking shaking bushes and then attacking the boar that comes out, and Sandy requires feathers, which require you to attack similarly shaking palm trees and then keeping the camera focussed on the bird that comes out. Neither of these are stated in the game itself.
* HubLevel: Jimmy's Lab in ''Nicktoons Unite'', Camp Castaway in ''Battle for Volcano Island'',[[note]]This one is a special case: Finding trinkets throughout the levels will improve everyone's homes, allowing access to bonus levels.[[/note]] and the Mawgu Lair in ''Globs of Doom''. Only ''Attack of the Toybots'' is devoid of a hub level and instead has a simple level select screen.
%%* ImprobableWeaponUser: A bunch in ''Globs of Doom''.
* JungleJapes: The first Papununu stage in ''Globs of Doom''.
* KillerTeddyBear: Mr. Huggles bears are just one of the many killer toys the characters have to fight in ''Attack Of The Toybots''.
* KingMook: The giant fleabot in ''Nicktoons Unite'', which led the flea robots populating the stage you find it in.
** There's also The Great Carrapace and King Gorge in ''Battle for Volcano Island''. The former of which is to the sand monsters and the latter of which is to the Florian guards.
* LargeHam: Globulous.
-->'''Zim:''' HEY! [[LampshadeHanging You will not imitate ME!]]
%%* LegionOfDoom
* LethalJokeCharacter: The unlockable Mr. Huggles in ''Attack of the Toybots'' can kill all enemies in one hit.
* LivingToys: ''Attack of the Toybots'', duh.
* TheLostWoods: Fetid Forest in ''Battle for Volcano Island'' starts out in a dark and dreary forest before eventually leading underground into an Ooze mine.
* MacroZone: Fantastic Voyage of Goddard in ''Nicktoons Unite'', since it takes place inside Goddard.
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: Provides the page quote.
* MsFanservice: Beautiful Gorgeous, [[http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_GKalpoRSdz4/SRebsIbdc5I/AAAAAAAAADU/P58ZeE06-JA/s1600-h/beaut_render.jpg and how.]]
* MultipleEndings: The console version of ''Globs of Doom'' has two, as alongside the standard ending achieved by simply beating the final boss, there's a second ending so well hidden it may as well be an EasterEgg. [[spoiler: After the villains defeat the heroes and Globulous, the villains go and play cards, with Globulous trapped in a jar]].
* OffModel: Everybody in ''Globs of Doom''. Dib seems to just be permanently locked in a thousand-yard stare, Danny Phantom not only suffers from the same thousand-yard stare as Dib, but seems to be making a constant derp face throughout the game, Zim appears to have a huge overbite with how his model is rendered, and Jimmy Neutron looks like a walking corpse with no emotion whatsoever.
* OriginalGeneration: Every NPC except Tucker, Squidward and Jimmy in ''Battle for Volcano Island'', and Globulous.
* PalmtreePanic: Summoner's Rock and Calamity Cove in ''Battle for Volcano Island''.
* PoweredArmor: Sam wears the Fenton Ghost Peeler in ''Battle For Volcano Island''. Finding enough batteries will activate the suit, temporarily increasing the power of Sam's attacks.
* PowerCreepPowerSeep: Not only does Danny get screwed big time by this trope but Calamitous, mostly an ineffectual ''Jimmy Neutron'' villain, gets bumped on the SortingAlgorithmOfVillainThreat to a Multiuniversal Threat (At first with his Evil Syndicate, and then by himself, with an army of living toys. Really.)
* PromotedToPlayable:
** [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Patrick, Sandy]], and [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Sam]] go from [=NPCs=] in ''Unite!'' to playable characters in ''Battle For Volcano Island''.
** [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Plankton]] goes from being part of the FiveBadBand in ''Unite!'' to playable in ''Globs of Doom''.
* PuzzleBoss: Calamitous and his pseudo-BossRush in ''Nicktoons Unite'', Cujo the Ghost Dog and the mutated Girl-Eating Plant in ''Globs of Doom''.
* RemilitarizedZone: Fort Crabclaw in ''Battle for Volcano Island''.
* RewardingVandalism: Lampshaded in ''Globs of Doom'' by the character you're controlling when you do such things.
* {{Roofhopping}}: The second Amity Park stage in ''Globs of Doom'' is set entirely atop roofs.
* SecretCharacter:
** ''Attack of the Toybots'' features certain characters who have to be rescued before they can become playable, depending on the version:
*** The console versions get Stimpy and Rocko;
*** The DS version gets Zim, Mr. Blik and El Tigre;
*** And both versions get [=GIR=] and Jenny Wakeman.
* ShoutOut:
** ''Attack of the Toybots'' contains "off-screen" cameo appearances by characters from almost all Nicktoons, including those that no longer air regularly.
** GIR: "[[VideoGame/ZeroWing All your data are belong to MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!]]"
** Rocko: "[[WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}} A wallaby's gotta do what a wallaby's gotta do]]... Whatever that is."
** Timmy compares Volcano Island to ''Series/{{Lost}}'' at one point.
** Zim: "[[VideoGame/AlteredBeast Welcome to your doom!]]" and "[[Franchise/MortalKombat Get over here!]]"
* TheSmurfettePrinciple:
** [[WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot Jenny]] is the only playable female character in the DS version of ''Attack of the Toybots''. Averted in the console versions, where [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Sam]] is playable as well.
** [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutron Beautiful Gorgeous]] is the only playable female in ''Globs of Doom''.
* SpotlightStealingTitle:
** The series is titled ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants and Friends'' in Europe.
** Spongebob gets top billing for the fourth game, which is justified by him being a focal point of the game's story rather than a part of an ensemble cast.
** To a lesser extent, Danny is usually second to [=SpongeBob=] in terms of plot importance, though that may be a tad bit justified due to being one of the few Nicktoons who regularly fights and beats up super powered baddies in his own home series.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Most apparent in ''Battle for Volcano Island'' as the characters will immediately fall through the water that isn't shallow. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by the Wise Old Crab.
* TakeYourTime: The Evil Syndicate starts up their Doomsday Machine in the pre-boss cutscene of ''Unite!'', but no timer is ever present during the fight that follows.
* TeamworkPuzzleGame: Each version of ''Unite'' is one in its own different way. Also, the GBA version of ''Battle for Volcano Island'' and the DS version of ''Globs of Doom''.
* TempleOfDoom: Crystal Ruins in ''Battle for Volcano Island'' and the second Papununu stage in ''Globs of Doom''.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Zim in ''Globs of Doom''. And inverted with Dib on the evil team.
** An interesting variation of this occurs in ''Attack of the Toybots''. An unlockable costume allows you to play as Dark Danny (Dan Phantom). Yes, ''that'' [[AxeCrazy Dark]] [[FutureMeScaresMe Danny]] instead of Danny Phantom.
* UnderTheSea: The Bikini Bottom levels in general in any game sans ''Battle for Volcano Island''.
* TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon: Ancient's Peak in ''Battle for Volcano Island'' and Calamitous' Lair in ''Attack of the Toybots''.
* VoicesAreMental: In the case of Globulous![=SpongeBob=], first averted and then played straight after Zim's Town.
* AWinnerIsYou: In the GBA version of ''Battle for Volcano Island'', your reward for obtaining all 23 Rip-Zipper pieces and 115 Gold Hearts (which requires a NoDamageRun on every level) is [[spoiler:a giant monolith that says "Congratulations! [[OneHundredPercentCompletion You've completed the game 100%!]] [[ThankingTheViewer Thank you for playing!]]"]].
* TheWorfEffect:
** Having actual powers, Danny is easily be the most powerful member, but is nerfed down for gameplay purposes. The games often explain that he's unable to use his full power due to various reasons, such as Professor Calamitous interfering with the Ghost Zone in ''Attack of the Toybots''.
** Timmy can actually wish that whatever problems the team is facing to be solved, but Da Rules doesn't allows any changes in any universes other than Dimmsdale.
