''VideoGame/MySimsKingdom'' is part of the VideoGame/MySims series, which in turn is a spinoff of ''VideoGame/TheSims'' series. It was released in 2008 for the Platform/{{Wii}} and Platform/NintendoDS.

This game revolves around quests and the scrolls that come with them. You have to gather a bunch of different items to complete the scrolls and get new items. Then, you furnish islands and buildings with your new furniture. It's what you're set out to do on your adventure.

Individual character tropes go on the character page.

Compare ''Lego Bricktales'', which is another game about going to various fantastical locales and helping the people there by building things.
----
!!This spinoff includes examples of:
* AdventureTown: More like Adventure Islands.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Summer or Liberty, depending on who gets to be Travis's date to the prom. Linda also has feelings for Trevor and Buddy doesn't seem to like Lyndsay back. Sylvia likes Gonk but Gonk doesn't even know her name! About the only exception is [[spoiler:Barney and Elmira]], and even then, theirs is a SecretRelationship.
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: Sometimes you'll get outfits as a reward for doing things.
* AnInteriorDesignerIsYou: Arguably the whole point of the game. You are tasked to design all sorts of houses and facilities on each island, from the ground up.
* AntiFrustrationFeatures: Creation Mode has been completely overhauled here. The original game had to load a separate screen for creating buildings or designing interiors, and they were both done in an overhead view. In this game, the magic wand allows you to design things in real time and from a ''third-person'' view (meaning your character could still walk around the environment). This makes customization a much smoother and faster process.
* AttendingYourOwnFuneral: Dr. F delivers a eulogy for the brave sacrifice of astronaut Vic Vector. During the celebration of the forthcoming rocket launch. Whilst Vic is standing next to him.
--> '''Dr. F:''' EAT YOUR GRIEF SANDWICHES!
* BettyAndVeronica: Liberty and Summer to Travis.
* BittersweetEnding: The two endings to The Royal Academy. [[spoiler: If you have Summer dance with Travis then Liberty learns to be more assertive and learns to be okay that AllLoveIsUnrequited. If you have Liberty dance with Travis then Chaz shows some respect towards Summer and Summer is also okay that AllLoveIsUnrequited.]]
* BlackComedy: Rocket Reef is filled to the ''brim'' with this humor. There's TOBOR's nonchalance at his own dismemberment and especially the "grief sandwich" speech.
--> '''Dr. F:''' Death by blowing up is not the best way to go--probably the worst!
* BribingYourWayToVictory: You'll sometimes have to socialize with Sims so you can get scrolls or whatever.
* CannotSpitItOut: Liberty and Summer to Travis. In the end, you have to solve their problem for them by choosing who goes to dance with Travis at the prom.
* {{Cutscene}}: There's a lot of them. A significant number of them are tutorials.
* DamnYouMuscleMemory: The FishingMinigame controls changed between the original game and this one; instead of pointing the Wiimote at the sensor bar, you use the control stick on the Nunchuk to control the bobber. This may or may not be jarring for those immediately jumping from the original game to this.
* DancePartyEnding: The story ends with [[spoiler:the entire cast coming together at your new private island for a dance party]].
* {{Delinquents}}: Chaz [=McFreely=]; it gets him immediately suspected of trashing the classroom at the Royal Academy.
* DisappearedDad: Though Daniel's mother Beverly appears in Cutopia, there's nothing of his father. [[MissingMom Princess Butter's mother also doesn't make an appearance]].
* FetchQuest: This game is made of it. It's easier to count what's ''not'' a fetch quest.
* FishingMinigame: The game has these in nearly every island, [[spoiler:with the exception of Reward Island]].
* ForcedTutorial: At the beginning of the game, the wandolier quest is this. Pretty much almost anything else on Capital Island is this. For example, the pig herding quest by Elmira teaches you how to get animals to follow you. In a bit of a [[SubvertedTrope subversion]], you could at least skip the cutscenes.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: King Roland mentions elves, who could get Princess Butter a unicorn when she loses the wandolier contest. About halfway through the game, the player can visit the Forest of the Elves, which also has unicorns.
* FracturedFairyTale: The game has elements of this. To name a few, there's a princess who's a SpoiledBrat, a forest where elves hold rock concerts, and a geeky knight who's neither brave nor dashing.
* GottaCatchEmAll: You have to catch every single fish (for Barney), find every single flower (for Poppy), find all the pieces of armor (for Spencer), and collect every single figurine (for Vic Vector).
* GirlInTheTower: Violet briefly becomes this thanks to [[LightIsNotGood the Duchess of Cutopia]]. The PlayerCharacter must free her by distracting Spencer the guard and rebuilding the stairs. Played with in that she takes a liking to the tower itself and later refurbishes it.
* HerdingMission: Most islands have some form of herding minigame. One of the first quests the player has in the game is herding pigs.
* HighSchoolDance: At the Royal Academy. There you have to choose who Travis goes to dance with.
* HulkSpeak: Gonk talk like this!
* InstantFanClub: DJ Candy gets one from Sapphire and Zack.
* ItemCrafting: You have to collect various items for the scrolls you find in order to make new items.
* ItsTheJourneyThatCounts: [[spoiler:At the end of the Spookane quest]]. The cheesiness of the moral does not go without a LampshadeHanging.
* LightIsNotGood: The island of Cutopia. They have the same amount of problems as every other island.
* LimitedWardrobe: Everyone except you seems to wear the same thing all the time.
* LoadsAndLoadsOfLoading: From the previous game, though it was fixed in this one. Whole islands are loaded at once so that this doesn't happen.
* LoveTriangle: Travis, Summer, and Liberty at the Royal Academy.
* MagicWand: You get one near the start of the game, which grants you the ability to construct buildings, design rooms, and spawn items in an instant.
* {{Mana}}: You need this to power your wand. Thankfully it's pretty easy to get.
* MetalDetectorPuzzle: Constantly. There's surprisingly a lot of stuff underground.
* ObviouslyEvil: Sir Vincent Skullfinder; Buddy catches on pretty quickly that he's bad news, while Lyndsay is completely oblivious (since she's too focused on admiring him as a fellow explorer).
* ObliviousToLove: Travis. He has no idea that ''both'' of the girls at the school (Summer and Liberty) have a crush on him, probably because he's too preoccupied with his phone. He finally gets the hint at the end though, and it's up to you to decide who he ends up with.
* OfficialCouple: Violet and Lord Daniel. Liberty or Summer and Travis, depending on your choice at the Royal Academy's prom.
* OpeningTheSandbox: Once you beat the story, you gain access to the final island on the map: [[spoiler:Reward Island, a whole plot of land where you can build just about anything you want. On top of the resources and scroll items that you already unlocked, you're also given a wide assortment of special items that can only be spawned on this island]].
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: Travis, Summer, Liberty and Chaz, [[VagueAge though it's unclear how old they're supposed to be]].
* OurElvesAreDifferent: There are only two elves: Leaf and Petal.
* PersuasionMinigame: Socializing with a Sim is often needed to complete certain tasks.
* ThePowerOfRock: [[spoiler: Leaf saves his island by using Rock music to bring back the unicorns.]]
* PowerTrio: [[PlayerCharacter You]], Buddy, and Lyndsay form one.
* PrincessesPreferPink: Hair, at least, in Butter's case.
* RagsToRiches: The PlayerCharacter starts off as the servant to a pig farmer and ends up as a powerful magician who is beloved by the kingdom and [[spoiler:has their own private island]].
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter:
** Elmira's pigs.
** The animals in Renee's Reserve.
** All of the animals in the Forest of the Elves. Especially the pugs.
** The bunnies on Cutopia.
** Bobaboo the triceratops on the Uncharted Isle.
* TheReveal:
** [[spoiler: Rusty is the one stealing everything on Cowboy Junction.]]
** At the Forest of the Elves [[spoiler: you have to use ThePowerOfRock to help out the island.]]
** At Cutopia [[spoiler: Beverly locks up Violet Nightshade in a tower and you have to get her out!]]
** The [[spoiler: book of life contains blank pages. Maybe you're supposed to write your own story perhaps?]]
* SdrawkcabName: TOBOR, the robot.
* SecondLawMyAss: TOBOR and Proto-Makoto hate [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman constantly being treated as living test dummies by Lexi and Dr. F]].
* ShoutOut:
** There is a scroll named, [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolid "Solid Gears of Metal."]]
** There's also a scroll named, "Bev, Bath, and Beyond." It’s also a pun on Beverly's name.
** Dr. F's [[Film/TheAdventuresOfSharkboyAndLavagirl friendly, reasonably malfunctioning, but there to help you when you need it robot, Tobor]].
** After repairing Tobor, he says, [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie "You did an amazing job,]] [[HelloInsertNameHere (player)!]] [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie You even got rid of a nasty burr in my rotator!"]]
** Trevor's pet rabbits are named [[Theatre/{{Hamlet}} Rosencrantz and Guildenstern]].
* ShowWithinAShow: On Trevor Island, the player must help the passionate thespian Trevor put on his dramatic four-act play, "Princess Alexandra and the Dragon". The primary objective is to design the sets, but you're eventually brought onstage to play different characters yourself.
* SpeakingSimlish: Since this is a spinoff of the Sims series, the characters speak like this.
* SpoiledBrat: Despite her name, Princess Butter from ''Kingdom'' [[{{Pun}} is anything but sweet]]. She expects everything in life to be handed to her and is extremely angry when she comes in third place in the Wandolier contest.
* StarCrossedLovers: Violet and Daniel in ''Kingdom''. [[spoiler:It eventually works out.]]
* SuddenlySpeaking: While playing the role of the heroic prince in Trevor's play, you attack the villain with a BarrageOfBats. This leads to the only time in the game when your character, a SilentProtagonist, speaks a line.
-->'''Player:''' [[CallingYourAttacks Wah-cha! Bats!]]
* SugarBowl: The series is very much LighterAndSofter than the classic ''Sims'' and even the darkest landscapes or situations adhere tightly to the RuleOfFun and the RuleOfFunny.
* TwentyBearAsses: You're supposed to get a bunch of items for the scrolls you get to make new stuff.
* TwoGirlsAndAGuy: Candy, Sapphire, and Zack from Candypalooza.
* VagueAge: A lot of people don't seem to have official ages.
** Averted in the DS version, which gives an official age to every character new to that version, as well as to King Roland and Dr. F, who are 83 and 65, respectively.
* VideoGameCaringPotential: You can be nice to people and fulfill their every need.
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: Or you could take all their stuff and mess up their lives pretty badly.
* VirtualPaperDoll: You get to customize your character's skin tone, clothes, hair, eyes, and more.
