Muelsfell: Rise of the Golems is a browser-based multiplayer online game that's free to play. Each player plays a "magus" who can create golems (and cast spells now that the spell system is live). Said golems can be sent to battle nearby monsters for XP, money, and resources; magi can also join clans to team up with other magi in order to get better stuff. There's also an achievement system for some reason.

!! This game provides examples of:

* AllegedlyFreeGame: Muelsfell is free to play... in theory, as you can [[BribingYourWayToVictory bribe your way to victory]]
** More like you ''have'' to. A lot of [[YouHaveResearchedBreathing very basic features]] are Premium-only.
* AntiPoopSocking: Magi have a certain, limited amount of "motivation" at one time which regenerates slowly. At higher levels it regenerates faster; however, about the most one can manage (outside the forums) is spending it all every 6 hours or so.
* BribingYourWayToVictory: Premium mode makes the game immensely more playable, especially at the higher levels; furthermore, the best weapons around have been purchasable for Premium tickets for limited periods of time as "specials".
* EveryTenThousandPoints: Awards are given at 5, 10, and 15 achievements. In theory, future rewards will be handed out for 20 and 25.
* ExperiencePoints: used to level up or to boost your golem's strength and carrying capacity.
* Fan-speak: "Fruitcake" for items that are inferior to just about anything else and which often get dumped on newbs who, upon finding out they're useless, dump them on newer newbs.
* GlobalCurrency: The money system is gold coins, not to be confused with the resource 'gold bars'.
* {{Golem}}: The point of the game is to construct and battle using golems.
* GuideDangIt: Achievements don't list where among the dozens of locations a monster is; furthermore, monster drops and drop rates are not listed anywhere in the game, nor what type and amount of damage each does. This has led to the creation of the [=MuelsfellWiki=] to catalogue these things.
* ItemCrafting: Magi can create eyes, power sources, and armor for their golems, as well as certain unlockables.
* LevelGrind: Some of the achievements include creating thousands of eyes, power sources, or pieces of armor.
* MetaMultiplayer: There's rankings and leaderboards based on score in addition to more traditional PvP
* MoneyForNothing: By level 20 or so, you'll have more money then you can use if you put any effort into optimizing gameplay at all. Note that some players are currently into the 50s.
* OrganDrops: There's three sidequests that grant useful upgrades in exchange for "trophies".
* RandomlyDrops: Every drop. Money is usually (but not always) set to 100%, but the more useful items tend to drop below 5% of the time.
* ShoutOut: Shout-outs include a monster named the Jabberwock, and one called the Gelatinous Cube.
* UnlockableContent: Gem golems and Tiger claws are granted for having a certain number of achievements.
* VideoGameAchievements: An Achievement system was added after the game came out of beta.
