-->--Per Arne of ''Encyclopedia Obscura'', reviewing the game.

''Little Red Hood'' is an unlicensed Platform/NintendoEntertainmentSystem game [[DerivativeWorks/LittleRedRidingHood based on]] the FairyTale "Literature/LittleRedRidingHood" developed by Sachen and released in 1989. In it, you play as the titular little girl who has to get to her grandma. This is done by usually finding a key within each of the 10 worlds and getting to the exit while avoiding enemies. The game has a top-down 2D perspective, though she can still jump, which is required at points.

----
!!This game provides examples of:
* ActionPet: The white dog Little Red Hood can find, which will attack enemies for her.
* AdaptedOut: A strange case. The trailer for the game mentions the wolf as an enemy, but the closest looking thing in the game is the bear. It's possible the second bear is supposed to be the wolf, but the trailer also mentions bears.
* ArtisticLicenseBotany: Cherries come out of palm trees.
* BearsAreBadNews: Two kinds of bears, a black bear and a brown bear, appear as an enemies. They instantly kill Little Red Hood and are also invincible.
* BonusStage: Finding a balloon takes Little Red Hood to a bonus screen where she can get more gold pieces.
* BratsWithSlingshots: Little Red Hood can use a slingshot to attack enemies, though she throws the slingshot itself as if it were a dart.
* CoversAlwaysLie: The cover shows Little Red Hood kicking an enemy, even though such an action is ineffective in-game.
* GuideDangIt: The game provides very little explanation on how to progress. To leave a level, the player must collect a set amount of fruit from kicking trees in addition to a randomly-appearing key that spawns inside a dungeon that occasionally appears on the main overworld. The last several levels sneak in an additional win condition through buying items in the shop.
* HeartsAreHealth: Little Red Hood's life bar is made of simple hearts, though the purchasable heart in shops resemble a real human heart.
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: Going by the grandmother's words, the character really ''is'' named Little Red Hood.
* InNameOnly: Seeing as the game doesn't even have the Big Bad Wolf and instead has enemies and settings that aren't in the original tale, it's bound to be this.
* InvincibilityPowerUp: A potion that turns Little Rood Hood invincible can be bought for 1500$, though it only works for a few seconds.
* InvincibleMinorMinion: The bears are invincible.
%%* KidHero: Little Red Hood.
* LittleRedFightingHood: Zigzagged. Little Red Hood cannot directly attack, but she can throw slingshots.
* MercyInvincibility: Little Red Hood flashes blue and turns invincible for a few seconds after getting hit. This is actually necessary to get past a panda in one of the levels if you don't have an invincibility potion.
* OneHitKill: Touching the panda kills Little Red Hood instantly, even if she's at full health.
* OurGoblinsAreDifferent: The trailer for the game explains that the main enemies are goblins that roam the woods. Not much is known about them beyond the fact that they are trying to kill Little Red Hood, so how closely they follow traditional goblin myths is unknown.
* RespawningEnemies: Taken to a ridiculous extreme. If a goblin is killed, they immediately respawn.
* ScaryScorpions: They appear as enemies.
* SuperNotDrowningSkills: Level 5 takes place underwater. Red Hood never drowns. Oddly, in a different level, if she touches shallow water [[SuperDrowningSkills she instantly dies]].
* UnderTheSea: World 5 is an underwater level where Little Red Hood swims by mashing the A button. The level also has a different win condition, as two pearls need to be collected to beat it.
* UnexpectedGameplayChange: Level 5, which is a sea level and is completely different from all the other levels.
* AWinnerIsYou: The game's ending just has Little Red Hood run up to her grandma who says "OH!MY LITTLE RED HOOD! THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMING!" [sic]
* WouldHurtAChild: The goblins have no qualms with attacking Red Hood.
