[[caption-width-right:200: [[AnAsskickingChristmas Merry Christmas]]!]]

A 2005 ThirdPersonShooter for the Platform/PlayStationPortable, developed by Planet Moon Studios.

It's Christmas Eve in New York City! The mayor is throwing a wonderful tree-lighting ceremony, attended by many. He even has a disabled young boy to pull the switch to activate all the lights.

And as he pulls the switch, people notice that a ''lot'' of the crowd are decaying...

And New York City falls victim to a terrible virus that turns its victims into flesh-eating cannibals. [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman This makes it okay to shoot them.]] The newly formed New York Bio-Hazard Team finds a sole survivor of an undead attack, one Officer Stevens. They find that Stevens is the only available person immune to the disease.

Even better, the normally invulnerable zombies [[LudicrousGibs explode]] upon contact with Stevens' blood. Things look brighter for New York suddenly.

Gameplay involves dropping into an arena as Officer Stevens (who can be customized) and shooting zombies with a variety of weapons. Once a zombie has taken enough damage, you can shoot your "blood cannon" (a literal cannon attached to your left arm that draws out your blood to shoot it) at the zombies, causing them to [[LudicrousGibs violently explode]]. Zombies that are sufficiently damaged can also explode from the resulting explosion, so setting up increasingly spectacular chain kills of exploding zombies to clear huge waves is the key to victory.

Oh, and sometimes you have to save survivors or accomplish other objectives. But that usually takes a backseat to making a horrifying blood wave of exploding zombies parts.

This is not a game that takes itself seriously.

!!This game provides examples of:
* ActionGirl: The player, if one chooses a female Officer Stevens. Or if they select [[VideoGame/BloodRayne Rayne]].
* AllThereInTheManual: Gives some background as to ''why'' you need to shoot up zombies with your blood - they're invulnerable. They've tried tanks, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, and they keep on regenerating... not to mention the only other thing that can stop them is a ''nuclear weapon.''
* AnAsskickingChristmas: Zombie hordes and Christmas trees. Yep.
* {{BFG}}: In the spirit of one-upsmanship, the game's biggest gun is the B''M''FG. ''VideoGame/{{Doom}}'' at least left your mother out of it.
* BellisariosMaxim: Invoked by the manual, when explaining their rescue missions: "The civilians go into your... uh, 'backpack' (don't think about that too closely)..."
* BlackComedy: The Commissioner accidentally shooting a special-needs kid and his psychotic breakdown, flashing back to when he was locked in a shit-stained cell by an angry grocer who caught him stealing.
* TheCameo: Music/{{Slipknot}} and Music/{{Chimaira}} (the bands) are playable ([[UnexpectedCharacter and hardly expected additions]] at that). So's [[VideoGame/BloodRayne Rayne]].
* ChainsawGood: Zombie-Santa seems to think so.
* TheDitz: The Commissioner, who accidentally shoots a special-needs kid and manhandles chemicals almost constantly. Even the Director of the NYBT says the Commissioner's ''son'' is smarter than him.
* EscortMission: Comes in two flavors: Rescue missions, where you must collect civilians and lead them to a pickup site (later missions have the 'copters with limited seats, forcing you to head to different pick-up sites), and ones where you must protect civilians from zombies. The last mission was the latter with one civilian, the mayor's son.
* MallSanta: what all of those chainsaw wielding Santa zombies were before the virus hit.
* NumberOfTheBeast: Look closely at the blood paks used as ammo for the Vaccine Gun. "Type 666"
* OneWingedAngel: If you linger too long in a mission, zombies will go Berserk - turning into red-and-black humanoid ''things'' that move faster and do more damage.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: See "All There In The Manual".
* PyrrhicVictory: You've managed to save New York by wiping out all the zombies! Congratulations! [[spoiler:Too bad you only saved a few hundred people, at ''least'' the entire continental United States is still zombified, and there's no word from the rest of the world.]] But still...New York! Ayyyy!
* VerbedTitle
* TheVirus: There's an interesting meta-game version based around Multiplayer. Each console had their own unique (cosmetic) version of the zombie virus. If you beat another player, then your virus would spread to the other player's console. If he beat another player, it would infect another save file from another player.
* WeAreExperiencingTechnicalDifficulties: See above.
* ZombieApocalypse: Duuuuuuuuuuuuuh.
* ZombieAdvocate: Tom Reilly. He thinks zombification is "an eating habit" and organizes a zombie aid concert.
