''Fullmetal Alchemist 3: The Girl Who Succeeds God'' is a 2005 action role-playing game developed by Racjin and published by Square Enix for the Platform/PlayStation2 console and is the third ''Franchise/FullmetalAlchemist'' video game released. The game was only released in Japan and as such, is only in Japanese.

The story takes where Ed and Al arrive in the city of Valdolla. A group of cultists appear to attack the city, and that's where Ed and Al meet a girl named Sophie who explains the motives of the Velza Clan, who are trying to resurrect a powerful witch capable of terrible destruction.

The gameplay is a 3D beat-em-up type where players are in control of Edward and Alphonse, and the combat revolves around the use of alchemy. Using a special button, Ed and Al can transform a variety of objects into weapons, items and other objects as well as equip them with numerous enhancers. It has a role-playing mechanic, allowing players to level up by defeating enemies and earning experience.

----
!!The game contains examples of the following tropes:

* AbsurdlyHighLevelCap: The game is beaten at around level 45, maybe 50 if you want to defeat the bonus boss, but the cap is level 99.
* AdventureFriendlyWorld: Plenty of items lying around the environment can be conveniently transmuted into a weapon of some sort.
* AirborneMook: The drones [[spoiler: and angels.]]
* ArtifactMook: The armoured golems, having the same mannerism and nearly the same appearance as the armoured golems from the last game.
* AnIcePerson: Leonid.
* ArtificialStupidity: Enemies will not recognize area hazards. So if a wall of fire is between you and an enemy, he will likely run into the fire, harming himself.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: Armstrong, who has strong arms.
* Backtracking: Very frequent.
* BagOfSharing: Ed and Al share the inventory.
* TheBattleDidntCount: Even if you defeat bonus boss [[spoiler:King Bradley]], he shrugs the battle off as a silly prank and says he was going easy on them.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: [[spoiler: ComicRelief Izzy Trigger actually KILLS Ed via a surprise stabbing after going insane.]]
* BigDamnHeroes: Ed saves Mustang from Zelgius the first time they encounter.
* TheBigGuy: Armstrong and to a lesser extent, Al.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Ed can transmute his arm into a blade in the middle of his unarmed combo.
* BlowYouAway: Janice.
* BoisterousBruiser: Armstrong, who loves to talk about the majesty of his alchemy technique.
* BreakableWeapons: The katana and axe.
* TheBrute: Godot.
* TheCameo: Some of the bosses from tag battle mode are from the previous game. Cornello, Phantom, Crowley, Scar, Bald, Yoki, Basque Gran, Hughes.
* CombatResuscitation: Ed can revive a knocked out Al to help him get up faster. Al will still get up if left alone though.
* CooldownHug: Sophie does this [[spoiler:to Velza.]]
* DishingOutDirt: Godot.
* DressedLikeADominatrix: Venus Rosemaria. She even carries a whip with her.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Leonid. Even lampshaded when a soldier refers to him as 'that weird effeminate man'.
* DumbMuscle: Godot is a 12 feet tall powerhouse, but is so dumb he can only speak in grunts. Leonid even wonders if Godot can even understand instructions.
* EmotionalBruiser: Armstrong, who loves to cry happy tears and hug.
* FatalFireworks: One of the transmutable weapons is fireworks, which home on enemies.
* FingerSnapLighter: How Mustang creates fire. His gloves emit a spark when he snaps, and he can change oxygen concentration in the air along a path to guide a flame.
* GirlishPigtails: Janice.
* GoldfishPoopGang: Venus Rosemaria and her subordinates are this. You meet these guys three times during the game, and every single time the battle ends with them being locked in their own machine. Seriously?
* HarmlessFreezing: You can be frozen by certain ice attacks. Mashing the buttons will help free yourself faster.
* HumanSacrifice: Zelgius talks about offering the souls of impure to his God, Velza, before killing the soldiers.
* IdiosyncraticComboLevels: Ranges from Fine, Nice, Good, Great, Beautiful, Exciting, Wonderful, Excellent, Marvelous, Perfect, Magical, Fantastic, Miracle, Congratulation and Wagahaikandou (roughly translates to 'I am moved by this display').
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Zelgius in the opening burns two soldiers, completely vaporizing them with no trace.
* TheKlan: Most of the Velza Clan members. Some even wear the cone-helmets.
* TurnsRed: The second time fighting Godot, he turns red when low on health.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: [[spoiler:Angels are shown as 8 feet tall winged humanoids with a head resembling a xenomorph's.]]
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Ed may be small but he can sure pack a punch!
* PivotalBoss: [[spoiler:Velza.]]
* PlayingWithFire: Roy Mustang, Zelgius.
* PointBuildSystem: Levelling up does increase your stats, but it also gives you bonus points to further increase a chosen stat. You can choose to allocate between Ed and Al.
* RazorWind: Janice's wind is shown in the opening cutscene to slice a concrete bridge.
* ReligionOfEvil: The Velza Clan, which seeks to revive a destructive witch.
* ShirtlessCaptives: When Edward is captured by Rosemaria, he wakes up in a prison wearing only his shorts. Given what type of person Rosemaria is, it's probably not just to prohibit him from using any equipment he had.
* ShowerOfAwkward: Present in one of unlockable scenes if you give needed gifts to Sophie. Winry and Sophie ask Al to transmute a shower so they can clean themselves. However, before girls actually do it, Ed sees the shower and decides to take it as well. Sophie walks in and, thinking that it is Winry who is in the shower, opens the curtain... Just to find Ed, who was clearly in the middle of the process. As both of them scream, Al and Winry come to check them, and, for some reason Ed is being treated as an AccidentalPervert.
* SirSwearsALot: Or rather, Lady Swears-a-lot. Janice drops a huge F-bomb on Ed and Al when they defeat her for the first time.
* StationaryBoss: [[spoiler:Velza.]]
* TornadoMove: Janice can shoot tornadoes.
* UnstableEquilibrium: Getting a higher rank in bosses will net you more bonus stat points and better items.
* VacuumMouth: The vacuum tool resembles Ed's face with an oversized mouth.
* VillainessesWantHeroes: Venus Rosemaria makes rather... Suggestive remarks towards Edward.
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Janice always wears some sort of a swimsuit.
* WeaponizedBall:
** You can transmute a giant ball and hit it to send it hurtling towards enemies. If hit back, it can hurt you too.
** Al can transmute one freely.
* WeaponsThatSuck:
** The vacuum is a non-portable tool to suck enemies up into one spot, so you can hit multiple of them at once.
** Al can now transmute his own vacuum anywhere he wishes
* WeCannotGoOnWithoutYou: If Alphonse is defeated in combat, Edward can restore him back to life without a problem. But if Edward dies, it's game over.
* WhiteHairedPrettyGirl: Sophie.
* WindIsGreen: Janice's wind attacks are green.
