''Corneroids'' is a VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}-esque spaceship building game.

In Corneroids, players mine asteroids for resources and can build spaceships using said materials to explore the universe. There is no gravity and no true up or down. Movement can be a tad disorienting. Hostile lifeforms inhabit the universe. Players can craft armor, weapons, tools, and various materials used in the construction of spaceships.

The game is in Alpha but is open to the public.

!!Corneroids provides examples of the following tropes:

* AirborneMook: The as-of-yet unnamed space squids are -- relatively speaking -- airborne. Other {{mooks}} are anchored on asteroids.
* TheAloner: The player character is the single sentient character in the game.
* AnInteriorDesignerIsYou: You can lay out the interior of you ship as you please.
* BoringButPractical: Light/Medium/Heavy Rock, Icy Rock, Cobalite Rock.
* BuiltWithLEGO: Everything is comprised of Minecraft style blocks.
* CoolSpaceship: If willing to invest the time, players can construct any kind of spaceship they desire.
* DamnYouMuscleMemory: With literally infinite directions in which to travel and no true up or down, the controls are a bit complicated. This can lead to some silly mistakes.
* DropInDropOutMultiplayer: Added for Alpha 1.2
* ElaborateEqualsEffective: The higher end tools and weapons are so much cooler looking than early ones.
* EndlessGame: As of Alpha 1.2
* EverythingBreaks
* FixedCamera: With the exception of ship-mounted cameras.
* FirstPersonGhost
* FloatingPlatforms: It's in space.
* GameBreakingBug: To be expected, as it's in early alpha.
* GameMod: As of two weeks after the alpha was released, mods were already present.
* GuideDangIt
* HitPoints
* ItemCrafting: Tools and ship components must be crafted from raw and refined materials. The more advanced items require rarer materials.
* ItemFarming: Everything requires resources. Countless hours of harvesting are required to build anything.
* MagnetHands: The character manages to hold on to his tool/weapon no matter what speed or direction he is traveling. Justified; the player character is robotic, and actual magnetic appendages aren't that farfetched.
* MooksButNoBosses
* NoPlotNoProblem
* RegeneratingHealth
* RespawnPoint: If you build your ship properly and the game recognizes it as a ship, the player's respawn point will reset in the ship.
* SpaceIsNoisy: Inverted; Space is silent.
* SpaceIsSlowMotion: Movement makes the player feel cumbersome. Except when using [[NitroBoost boost]].
* UnbreakableWeapons: Items and weapons do not take durability damage.
