Hello! Hmmm . . . what should I put here? Well, I'm a human female, that's a good start. I'm a college student, in the US. I'm a nerd. Ummm . . . I thought it would be fun to list the tropes used in the D&D campaign I'm playing, so here goes.

%%!Tropes That Apply To Me
%%* GratuitiousJapanese: What can I say? These kinds of things happen when you're a second-language learner.
%%* GrammarNazi: I like to think of myself as a subversion: I'm quite knowledgeable about the English language, but I also come %%down hard on the side of prescriptivism. So I see things like Text Speak as natural progressions of the language.
%%!Gushing About Tropes I Like
%%* TranslationConvention: I appreciate when a work includes enough little details (such as avoiding language-specific puns) to %%subtly indicate that this trope is in effect. It's also frequently seen in my own work.
%%* EarnYourHappyEnding: For me, this is the sweet spot on the SlidingScaleOfIdealismVsCynicism.

!Tropes Used in the Ongoing Knights of Genedren D&D Campaign
* AerithAndBob: To give one example, in a recent adventure, the five people in the adventuring party were named Alanya, Satoron, Nya, Tatewaki, and Morgan. In general, important characters will have HighFantasy names, while oneshot or throwaway characters will sometimes have strangely mundane names, or names made from random Japanese syllables. However, characters frequently make unexpected shifts in importance, so an inexplicable mishmash is inevitably the result.
* AlasPoorVillain: [[spoiler: Nevik, Commander of Fury Division and leader of the Negolan forces in Heltara/the Material Plane]] may have been a CompleteMonster, but there was still something a bit sad about her death.
* AlwaysChaoticEvil: The Negola, a race of demons, are this to an extreme: they are instantly killed by their god if they perform Good acts. Averted with orcs, however, who have thus far been more often good than evil.
* AwesomeMcCoolname: For some reason, the higher-ups on Genedren tend to have names like Dawnstrider, Windwalker, and Lightspear.
* BattleCouple: Satoron and Alanya.
* BelligerentSexualTension: Definitely the way to describe the relationship between Gloria and Garret. [[spoiler: Until he dies, of course.]]
* CasanovaWannabe: Garret.
* CatGirl: Nya, naturally. While her claws and fangs are scary, her ears are described as cute, clashing with almost everything else about her character.
* CharacterDevelopment: In addition to Vendaron's HeelFaceTurn described below, Nya also underwent significant CharacterDevelopment, going from a BrokenBird who was OnlyInItForTheMoney to a more harmlessly snarky KnightInSourArmor, with a brief stint as a {{Tsundere}} along the way.
* CheerfulChild: Aria.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Nya, so very much.
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: [[spoiler: Gloria to Garret, just before he dies]].
* FantasticArousal: Nya seems to enjoy her ears being rubbed a bit more than one would expect.
* FiveManBand: Averted (it feels so good to say that). The protagonists have several times been organized into a group of five, but it would be a stretch to fit them into the five roles. On the other hand . . .
* FiveBadBand: The group of bandits called "Boku's Gang" fit into this pattern. In fact, if I remember correctly, they were specifically created according to this trope.
** TheBigBad: Boku, the leader of the group.
** TheDragon: Kunai. A rival to Boku? Check. Most likely to betray the team? Check.
** TheEvilGenius: Sylvanis, the caster.
** TheBrute: Rikket, an orc barbarian.
** TheDarkChick: Jiria, love interest of Boku.
* FloatingContinent: The city of Genedren, although it's no secret to the people living below.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Satoron and Alanya.
* HalfHumanHybrid: They exist, but [[HybridOverkillAvoidance are sterile.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: Vendaron, who was introduced as a CompleteMonster, but later acquired Angel as a MoralityPet, and seems to be turning into a genuine ally through a combination of EnemyMine and ThePowerOfLove.
* HeinzHybrid: Nya, whose ancestry has a repeated pattern of couples being brought together by the shared experience of being hybrids.
* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim versus TheFarmerAndTheViper: The most common [[SlidingScaleOfIdealismVsCynicism Idealism vs. Cynicism]] MoralDilemma. Expect Alanya to balk at killing and Satoron to point out the long-term consequences of keeping villains alive.
* KiAttacks: This is more or less how magic works.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Both Alanya and Satoron fit this archetype to some extent, but Alanya more so, as she has a more purely idealistic outlook.
* MamaBear: Jessica, to the rest of the former Silicia prostitutes.
* MauveShirt: The members of the Order of Greydawn were created specifically with this role in mind. Some survived, some didn't.
* MoralEventHorizon / RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: In one of Nevik's earliest appearances in the story, she rapes a Knight named Rosanna. This serves to quickly put her on the other side of the MoralEventHorizon.
* MoralityPet: Angel, to Vendaron.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Morgan, who is half-elf, half-orc.
* OverlyLongName: Dragons tend to have these.
* PlayerPunch: Many, but particularly the death of [[spoiler: Garret]]. Up until that point, Satoron and Alanya had saved him numerous times, expending great effort to do so.
* PlotDetour / OffTheRails: When the protagonists visited the city of Silicia, they were intended to kill the frost worm and go home. When the DM offhandedly had a prostitute approach Satoron, he decided to find out her life story, rescue her from a life of prostitution, rescue seven others from lives of prostitution, have the brothel shut down, help the girls (and [[TheOneGuy one guy]]) settle down in a nearby town, and ''then'' go kill the frost worm.
* PowerGlows: Sort of, when it comes to the Tae'elon. Their bodies constantly give off light (giving them an abysmal racial penalty to Hide checks, by the way), but more so when they're emotional.
* PunctuationShaker: Despite attempts to avert this, the DM felt that the apostrophe in "Tae'elon" was necessary to make the pronunciation clear.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Nya. Although she's not evil, her red eyes mark her as part-demon.
* SapientShip: Spectre 1, which is run by the spirit of a hero from a former age.
* SwordAndSorcerer: Satoron and Alanya.

. . . and many more.
