Ambar tends to browse TV Tropes when he has nothing better to do, adding random examples (and other minor changes, including fixing typos and broken links) from time to time. At the moment he sees his own personality vaguely reflected in The Winslow, namely, a tendency to randomly say "Hi" with about the same level of spaced-out-ness. However, that assessment is unreliable, as Ambar sees his own personality reflected in everything. (What Ambar feels is one of his strengths is knowing approximately how likely it is that he is wrong on any given thing.)

Ambar doesn't normally talk in the third person, but I felt that descriptions are supposed to be written this way.

Tropes that apply to Ambar:
* Sidetracked by the Analogy: Sometimes justified. Often the reason I attack the analogy is that the flaw in the analogy is also a flaw in the argument. However, other times I attack a flawed analogy although the argument is still sound.
* Jerk With a Heart of Gold: I think. I try to be polite, but (from my impressions of others' reactions) I'm not that good at it. I'm working on it though.
* Old Shame: I have a lot of these. Mostly from when I was oblivious to my own Double Entendres.
* There Are No Therapists: Averted, then the aversion was Double Subverted. There were therapists, but they were incompetent with respect to my problems and often made things worse, but then a better (at my problem) therapist was found.
* Split Personality: I often think of myself as made up of consciousness and instinct, as if each was a separate "me" with its own needs and wants. Also, sometimes "instinct" gets subdivided (e. g. anger, upset, tiredness, etc.) Contrary to the usual trope, this solves a lot more problems than it causes. Also leads to:
** Talking to Themself: Common. Plays out a lot like Susan's Good Angel Bad Angel sequence. They generally compromise - in a solution better than either one wanted.
** Gollum Made Me Do It: Rarer, but only because conscious-me is better at overriding instinct these days. I. e., Gollum usually fails to make me do it.

(The list above is incomplete; also, see caveat above that I am not qualified to judge myself.)

I'll add more when it comes to mind. If anyone else wants to add, feel free, but don't delete anything anyone else added.
