* AscendedFanon: ''Dawn of the Clans'', the title of the series, was originally a FanNickname based on the wording of the arc's announcement.
* FanCommunityNickname: The fans of ''Dawn of the Clans'' on the Warriors Official Forum like to refer to themselves as "Dawners", mimicking the notorious [=OOTSians=].
* MilestoneCelebration: The prologue of ''The Sun Trail'' was released early as part of the tenth anniversary of ''Warriors''. ''The Sun Trail'' is also the 25th main series novel, the 50th ''Warriors'' book[[note]]25 main series books, 5 Supper Editions, 13 mangas, 3 novellas, and 4 Field Guides. ''Enter the Clans'' doesn't count because it's merely a CompilationRerelease with new cover art.[[/note]], and was released about a month after the date of the tenth anniversary. As well, ''Thunder Rising'' and ''Warriors: The Ultimate Guide'' were co-released and essentially were '''the''' 10th Anniversary milestone books.
* {{Tuckerization}}: Jay Frost, a very minor character from ''The First Battle'', is named after Jayfrost, a dedicated fan on Kate Cary's blog.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The series was originally conceived as a single Super Edition which would follow ''Bluestar's Prophecy''. After that Super Edition was scrapped, the Clan origin story was expanded to the one we know today.
** Thunder (or whoever the covercat of ''Thunder Rising'' is) was originally on the cover of ''The Sun Trail'' for some reason. The final cover has Gray Wing instead.
** Gray Wing was originally slated to die at the end of ''The Sun Trail'', but it was pushed back as the catalyst event occurred too soon. He was then supposed to die in ''Thunder Rising'', but that was changed due to the dynamic between him, Thunder, and Clear Sky being too interesting to pass up. ''Then'' he was supposed to die in ''The First Battle'' (presumably Clear Sky would have gone through with killing him), but at that point the editing team was too attached to him and thought there was more potential for emotional conflict, so it got pushed back a third time to ''Path of Stars''.
* WordOfGod: According to Kate Cary's blog, Splinter is the father of Milkweed's first litter, Clover, Thistle and Bramble.
** Her blog also states that the unseen character Owl Song mentioned in the manga of ''Moth Flight's Vision'' is a light brown splotchy she-cat with white paws and a white tail tip.
