* CelebrityVoiceActor:
** Creator/RebeccaRomijn-Stamos as Mercury.
** Creator/BruceBoxleitner reprises his role as Alan.
* ExiledFromContinuity: Once Film/TronLegacy was approved, Disney did its best to not only declare the game non-canon, but pretend it never existed, such that it's a miracle that they did NOT banish the game to KeepCirculatingTheTapes purgatory to fully memory-hole it.
* GeniusBonus: Probably (but maybe not) coincidental, the element of mercury was used as a germicide, and is still used in sterilizing lamps. The color of those lamps is roughly the same shade as her and Jet's circuitry!
* GameMod: The Killer App Mod, which adds widescreen support, autosaves, a few cheats, and extra features that were previously only on the Xbox port.
* RecycledScript: Don't make a drinking game out of how many plot points and pieces of character design from this game got recycled for Film/TronLegacy and/or VideoGame/TronEvolution. (See AlternateContinuity)
** Jet himself splits the difference between Sam Flynn (SpinOffspring, PlayfulHacker, troubled adolescence, apparently apathetic to Encom's trouble) and Beck the Renegade (HeroWithBadPublicity and a very troubled relationship with his father/mentor figure)
** [=Ma3a=]'s appearance and function was recycled into Iso leader Radia
** Thorne's costume, coloration, status as a living virus, unleashing hordes of corrupted Programs on the system, and can be seen in Abraxas.
** The initial goal of the protagonist is to rescue his father.
** Upon arrival in cyberspace, our hero is immediately sent to the game arena (franchise staple by now)
** Jet is rescued from certain death by a mysterious female ally
** There are a couple levels which involve breaking into the enemy headquarters to steal back Jet's confiscated disc.
** The fact that Flynn allegedly went insane and vanished (per the spin-off comic), and Tron's fate is unknown to 2.0[='=]s characters, also play very nicely into PatchworkFic.
** Sora's lightcycle and armor designs in VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII are also similar to Jet's.
* RoleReprise: Played straight with Bruce Boxleitner as Alan Bradley. And, yes, as Tron in the Killer App sequel. Cindy Morgan's role is a double subversion. Played sideways in the Killer App sequel where Creator/CoreyBurton played the mysterious, malicious User with the same Creator/DavidWarner impersonation he used for Sark and Master Control in VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII.
* SimilarlyNamedWorks: There are two separate Tron 2.0: Killer App games: A Platform/GameBoyAdvance game that serves as a prequel to 2.0, and an Platform/Xbox port of 2.0 itself.
* ThoseTwoActors: Boxleitner and Morgan. Sure, they were in the first film together (as Alan and Tron and Lora and Yori). Then there was Series/BringEmBackAlive. But while Boxleitner's in a straight-up RoleReprise, Morgan's role as [=Ma3a=] plays it a bit sideways .
