* AdaptationFirst: The game was released about a week before the movie in all territories.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Outside of the Xbox Games on Demand store, the game is only available through used copies and such. To make matters worse, the always online CopyProtection for the PC version [[https://steamcommunity.com/app/315440/discussions/0/2733047810439073181/ stopped working in 2019]], meaning [[https://lucasc.me/post/tron-evolution-windows-10-patch some patches are required for the game to run]].
* TheOtherDarrin: Creator/FredTatasciore fills in for Creator/JeffBridges as Flynn and CLU, while James Frain fills in for Creator/MichaelSheen as Zuse. Funny enough, Frain himself shows up in ''Legacy'', as CLU's right-hand advisor, Jarvis.
* PropRecycling: ''Tron [=RUN/r=]'' seems to use assets from this game, including characters, weapons, and vehicles.
* RecycledScript: Some elements of the game are going to seem awfully familiar if you've played ''VideoGame/TronTwoPointOh'', especially when it comes to Abraxas and Radia's character designs and roles.
* SequelInAnotherMedium: Or prequel in this case. Unless you consider the movie the sequel, since it came out a week after the game.
* YouLookFamiliar: John Glover went on to voice Dyson in ''WesternAnimation/TronUprising''
