** Jeff Wright plays three characters: the head usher in the first movie, the sex shop assistant in the second and the grocery store manager in the third. Of course, it could be the same guy holding down different jobs in each movie.
** Music/WeirdAlYankovic appears in all three movies. In the first and third movies, he plays himself. However, in the second movie, he plays a criminal holding the police station at gunpoint.
* ActorAllusion: ''33 1/3'' isn't the first time Earl Boen has been [[{{Franchise/Terminator}} a psychologist]].

* FakeNationality: In the first movie, Mexican actor Ricardo Montalban plays an obviously Germanic villain (Vincent Ludwig).
* HeyItsThatGuy: The sleazy trucker who tried to pick up Jane in the third movie was played by Marc Alaimo, who played the sleazy MagnificentBastard, Gul Dukat, in ''Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine''.
** And Nordberg is played by that guy who may or may not have killed his wife.
** Doctor Meinheimer is [[Film/HarryPotter Vernon Dursley]].
** The third film involves Frank and Jane meeting a marriage therapist, who used to counsel [[Film/{{Terminator}} Sarah Connor.]]
** The attempted prison rapist was once tricked out of his wife's dog by ''AceVentura''. (And tried to get Nathan Junior in ''Film/RaisingArizona'')
** Hector Savage was once whipped to death by a [[HighPlainsDrifter mysterious stranger]]
** Ludwig is [[Film/StarTrekIITheWrathOfKhan Khan]].
* IKnewIt: What Frank says after he puts Mikhail Gorbachev in a headlock and rubs off his famous "wine stain" birthmark.
* HistoryMarchesOn: Among the disasters at the bar in ''The Naked Gun 2 1/2'' is the Hubble Space Telescope, which was launched with a flawed main mirror. That was fixed in 1993, and the telescope is now considered an enormous success.
* TheOtherDarrin: Neither Hocken nor Nor(d)berg was played by the same actor as in the series.
