* TheDanza: Diane, the female Shaman, is played by Diane Fielding. Also, Kirk, another Shaman, is played by Kirk Gaitskell-Kendrick. Also also, Simon Farnaby as Simon [=McFarnaby=].
* ExecutiveMeddling: [[Administrivia/TropesAreTools A rare positive example]]. The BBC loved the show to the point where each successive season had ''less'' of a budget than the one before in order to maintain the [[OffTheShelfFX DIY]] [[NarmCharm vibe]] of the show.
* OneSceneWonder: Old Gregg.
** Bruno Mindhorn from the radio version of 'Jungle'. "I know a lady, she has no eyes, I call her Mrs. China..."
* OutOfOrder: When aired on ''Creator/AdultSwim'', the network for some reason started on the third season of the show and aired the first two seasons afterward.
* RealLifeRelative: Noel Fielding (Vince) and Michael Fielding (Naboo) are brothers, and the cast often uses family and friends as extras.
* RecycledScript:
** "Tundra" was based on a stage play Barrett and Fielding wrote, "Arctic Boosh", where they played hapless mailmen who needed to make a delivery to the North Pole.
** "Tundra" and "Hitcher" have pretty much the same plot with a different setting and villain. Howard and Vince go on a journey far from the zoo in search of something, with a little help from Music/GaryNuman, but get into an argument and split up before they find it. All alone, Howard gets captured by the MonsterOfTheWeek, ironically in the place they were looking for, then Vince finds him and gets captured too. Someone from the zoo comes to rescue them but fails, then they are rescued for real by a bear.
* ThoseTwoActors: Noel and Julian.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Creator/NoelFielding and Julian Barratt once revealed they wanted Vince and Howard to get together during the tv show, but they changed their mind for fear of the relationship getting dull. Possibly related to this is an unproduced script they talked about, which was an episode where Vince and Howard would take a potion that would lower their inhibitions to the point they have sex and wake up in bed together.
** On the ''Series/DoctorWho'' special of ''Series/NevermindTheBuzzcocks'', Noel offered Bernard Cribbins a writing spot for the show after being impressed with Cribbins' awesome dry sense of humor. This has sadly not panned out.
