* ActingForTwo:
** Creator/KathSoucie voices both Ray Ray and Ashley; their voices are ''very'' similar.
** Jody, her mother, and her sister are all voiced by Creator/ColleenOShaughnessey.
** Ophelia and her mother are both voiced by Creator/CandiMilo, who also voices June's mother and the teacher Mrs. Gomez.
** Roger and his mother are both voiced by Creator/TaraStrong, who also voices Lila and Melissa.
* TheCastShowOff: This show really put Creator/LaraJillMiller through her paces, in both shouting tone and singing.
* CrossDressingVoices:
** Ray-Ray is voiced by Creator/KathSoucie. It also happened in the Brazilian dub, in which he was voiced by Fernanda Crispim, who's the Brazilian voice of Lana Lang in ''Series/{{Smallville}}'' and Fiona in ''Franchise/{{Shrek}}''.
** Roger is voiced by Creator/TaraStrong.
* DuelingShows: With ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDragonJakeLong''. Young American kid of Chinese decent? Inherits the mystical mantle of a wise OldMaster grandparent and gains supernatural powers which skipped a generation? An AnnoyingYoungerSibling with similar abilities and a magical talking pug dog? Tasked with protecting and mediating the {{Masquerade}} between the human and magic worlds? The collective unconscious at work, ladies and gentlemen.
* FakeNationality:
** Every member of June’s immediate family, including June herself, is a Chinese-American character played by an actor of non-Asian ancestry with Jasmine being the sole exception. Even then, Jasmine's voice actress Creator/AmyHill is ''Japanese'' instead of Chinese. However, June's Uncle Eddie in the episode "Party Monsters" avoids this as he is voiced by Chinese-American actor Creator/JamesHong.
** Monroe is a Scottish Pug voiced by Argentinian-American Creator/CarlosAlazraqui, while his dad is voiced by English actor Creator/MartinJarvis.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The Easter special "June's Egg-cellent Adventure: Juniper Lee Meets the Easter Bunny" was, for some reason, never released to the Boomerang streaming service (and by extension VRV) like the rest of the series; or by extension ANY digital service when it was available. This means the only way to watch it is if you copied it back in 2006... or... [[DigitalPiracyIsEvil other more illicit means...]]. It is also the only episode completely unavailable in its intended widescreen format.
* MissingEpisode: The Easter special was never made available on any digital store or the Boomerang streaming service. As such, it is the only episode unavailable in its intended HD Widescreen format.
* TheOtherDarrin: Jeff the Leprechaun is voiced by Creator/BillyWest in ''It’s My Party and I’ll Whine if I Want To'' and Creator/CarlosAlazraqui in ''Dog Show Afternoon''.
* PlayingAgainstType: Creator/LaraJillMiller voices the main character. Unlike other roles she had at the time, namely the soft spoken and polite [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Kari]] [[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 Kamiya]], Juniper is a more aggressive and snarky [[GirlyBruiser fighter]].
* QuietlyCancelled: The show lasted three seasons, but near the end of the third, the show's final episodes got shuffled onto CN's online service and its finale left open-ended, leaving on an AndTheAdventureContinues bit as it seems the staff weren't confident that they were going to get another season. The series was never confirmed cancelled but its creator Creator/JuddWinick had gone back to writing comic books not long after the show ended, which was pretty much as good a sign the show wouldn't continue.
* RecycledScript: Winick used at least one ''Barry Ween'' story for a ''Juniper Lee'' episode, doing little more than substituting a magic potion for AppliedPhlebotinum, a kid brother for a best friend, and adding a talking dog.
* SavedFromDevelopmentHell: The reason why it's wrongly accused of ripping off ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDragonJakeLong''. Development was in mid-production and stalled a few times when ''American Dragon'' hit the airwaves. By the time it premiered, there was nothing the staff could do about the comparisons other than just go on as planned.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: No sooner had the show hit its second season, CN began to lose interest in it; they barely advertised new episode before just neglecting to do so altogether, despite playing them on Fridays the following season. The last two episodes didn't even make it to the airwaves, instead being shown on CN's video service before they too were pulled off.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** A lot of things in the show were set up to be explored later. Examples include how they were gonna get June free of the barrier that was keeping her within the Orchid Bay, Ray Ray's dormant magical powers, more focus on Lila's and Dennis' role in helping, and [[spoiler: Jody becoming curious about the books in June's room and spotting June leaping on the rooftops in the last episode]]. As well, more villains like Jean-Claude, Kai Yee, and H.A.M. were set for more appearances.
** Supposedly, a Season 1 DVD set was planned for an early 2009 release, only for it to never see the light of day. Season 1 would eventually be released on DVD in 2013, but in Australia, and the set is region locked.
