* ChannelHop:
** The cartoon premiered on Creator/ABC, but at some point afterwards, the rights to re-air it went to Turner-owned channels, such as Creator/TNT, Creator/TBS, and Creator/CartoonNetwork.
** Well, Production Company Hop- it began under DFE Films, but Creator/MarvelComics bought them out during production and turned them into Marvel Productions, so it was credited as "Marvel Productions in association with Depatie-Freleng"; a similar thing was done for The Pink Panther: Pink At First Sight, which was credited as "A Marvel Production, in association with Mirsch-Geoffery-Depatie-Freleng and United Artists"; that special didn't have the logo symbol, but did have the synth theme (this special had a still logo, but the end theme played over it).Marvel's credit would seem oddly fitting to viewers who associate them with ambitious crossovers, especially with the popularity of the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse.
** Like the other DFE Dr. Seuss specials, home video rights have shifted from Creator/CBS[=/=]Fox Video, to Creator/Universal Home EntertainmentThe same studio that produced the Grinch's and the Cat's live-action movies, and the former's animated film, to Creator/ Bros Home VideoWhich already acquired the animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas! special through its acquisition of the pre-1986 MGM library.
* TheOtherDarrin: Bob Holt and Mason Adams take over the roles of the Grinch and the Cat respectively, as their original actors, Creator/BorisKarloff, Hans Conried, and Creator/AllanSherman, had died prior to production. Hans Conried was originally going to reprise his role as the Grinch from Halloween Is Grinch Night; but before he could be scheduled to record his lines, he passed away from a heart attack on January 5, 1982 at the age of 64. So the role of the Grinch was eventually taken by Bob Holt.
* SwanSong: It was one of [=DePatie=]–Freleng Enterprises's final works before the studio became part of Marvel Comics in 1981.
