* TheDanza: Stacy and Chelsea are voiced by and named after creator Mitch Schauer's daughters.
* HarpoDoesSomethingFunny: While there were scripts, Mitch Schauer provided a relaxed environment for the voice actors, which enabled Nick Bakay and Richard Horvitz to ad-lib and talk over one another. It eventually became the norm, which got Mitch into the habit of informing other voice actors of the duo's improvisational habits.
* IronyAsSheIsCast: In a few episodes (such as "Kandid Kreatures"), it's established that Norb understands Spanish, while Dag doesn't. What's ironic about this is Norb's voice actor Nick Bakay does not know Spanish, while Dag's voice actor Richard Horvitz does. In fact, when making the "El Grapadura" episode (in which all the dialogue was in Spanish, with English subtitles), Horvitz had to assist Bakay with the Spanish dialogue.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Prior to 2010, Paramount Home Media Distribution never gave any official VHS releases to this show, thus making it the only '90's Nicktoon to never '''ever''' receive VHS releases.
** Unless if you own the DVD releases of the show, either individually or in it's complete series form, the digital version of the show sold on digital storefronts is missing a good chunk of the series, about 18 episodes to be exact.[[note]] The episodes missing from the digital versions are the Season 1 finale, "Bummer of Love/Food of the Clods", the Season 2 episode "Un-Barry-ble/Another One Bites the Musk", 3 Season 3 episodes "The Legend of Kid Friendly/Silent But Deadly", "Brothers... To the End?/Euro Beavers", and it's finale "Strange Allure/Partying Is Such Sweet Sorrow", and almost every episode of the fourth and final season, with the sole exception of "Dagski and Norb/Shell or High Water".[[/note]]
* QuietlyCancelled: Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} generally doesn't announce when a series is cancelled, instead just preferring to keep airing reruns of existing episodes; for this reason, the series had its fourth-wall-breaking final episode "Bye Bye Beavers" cancelled.
* UnfinishedEpisode:
** Dialogue was recorded for the series finale titled "Bye Bye Beavers", but it was never finished or aired, as per a rule stating that Nickelodeon series finales should not have [[EndOfSeriesAwareness self-referential humor about the series' end]], or even have a formal ending. (Supposedly, Nick considered breaking the rules for it, but ultimately left it unfinished due to the fact that the episode ended with the Beavers [[AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence going to Cartoon Heaven]], which was thought to be too sad for kids.) It was supposed to be paired with an episode called "A Tale of Two Rangers", of which no trace exists.
** [[http://www.geekade.com/newsfeed/2016/1/3/apathetic-enthusiasm-ep-47-the-not-so-angry-animator Mitch says in this interview]] that towards the end of the show's run, there were plans to do a musical episode (specifically a rock opera), and a second Halloween episode featuring Creator/TerenceStamp as Dracula.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** [[https://twitter.com/hellofathead/status/1100814773413806080 An early model sheet from 1993]] reveals that Norbert and Daggett were originally named "Slack and Dekker".
** Dagget was going to be voiced by comedian Kevin Meaney, who even provided the voice in a test pilot for the show. The version that was leaked online though seems to be a different version with Richard Horvitz's voice.
** A spin-off called ''Simply Sisters'' featuring Stacy and Chelsea was planned after the series was cancelled. According to Mitch Schauer, a pilot episode was recorded featuring Creator/AlyssaMilano as the narrator, but Nick decided not to pick up the pilot.
