* AcclaimedFlop: It didn't sell very well in Japan and while it was released in France and United States, the low sales resulted in it having a limited release, hence why it's worth quite a lot of money. Infamously, a Bandai Namco producer used the game's lack of financial success as an excuse to not finance ''Tail Capriccio'' or any other ''Little Tail Bronx'' project, them straight up telling Hiroshi that "they weren't going to make a sequel to a game that didn't sell."
* ActingForTwo: The English dub of the game has only six voice actors, so this naturally comes into play. Alicia is the only character with a VA all to herself. The Japanese version, however, mostly averts it as very few characters share [=VAs=].
* CrossDressingVoices: Creator/LaniMinella voices both Waffle Ryebread and Panta.
* CutSong: There was going to be an alternate stage theme to Coolant simply titled [[https://youtu.be/YvtfEhjTtEw "More Coolant"]], that is a winterized remix of "For Little Tail". It's probably the reason why it ended up being cut from the final game.
* FollowTheLeader: The game is pretty much just ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'' [-WITH {{KEMONO}}!-] Still pretty fun, though.
* InvisibleAdvertising: The game has some form of small-scale advertisements, but ultimately not a lot. The west only got 1 trailer, and the demo playable on one of the [=PlayStation=] Underground Jampack disc was an import of the Japanese version (which could have confused people into thinking it was a Japan exclusive game).
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The game had a ''very'' limited run in western territories, so you're going to be breaking bank if you want to own a physical copy (especially a US-region one).
* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Two big reasons as to why this game never got a re-release in any form.
** The main reason is due to Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment [[GodDoesNotOwnThisWorld still owning distribution rights to the game]], alongside its sister sequel ''Solatorobo''. The lack of any financial success from both games play a heavy factor as to why there's barely anything for the ''Little Tail Bronx'' series.
** Kokia, and by extension Sony, owns the license to the song "For Little Tail," the Japanese main theme of the game, and it's likely their involvement is preventing Creator/CyberConnect2 from taking any alternatives.
* SequelInAnotherMedium: "After That Concerto" and "Onward - Bon Voyage!"/"Kadenz -Closing Melody-" are both adventures that canonically take place after the main game, the former being a WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue and the later being a full-on sequel that puts Waffle and The Black Cats Gang in the {{Deuteragonist}} role next to [[VideoGame/SolatoroboRedTheHunter Red Savarin]]. Both of them were available as written stories for both ''The Art of Tail Concerto'' art books and [=CyberConnect2=]'s personal Kemono magazines.
* ShrugOfGod: It's never explained which dog breed Panta is based on, and to this day [=CyberConnect2=] still doesn't know the answer, often replying with [[ShapedLikeItself "Panta is Panta"]].
* {{Vaporware}}: This game's direct sequel, ''Tail Capriccio'', wound up falling into this. It wasn't officially announced (only showing up as an EasterEgg CompanyCrossReferences in the ''VideoGame/DotHackR1Games'' under the title ''Tail Concerto 2''), but it was never officially canceled either. Regardless, Waffle's adventures ended up getting CutShort, with ''Solatorobo'' being the only other game he saw action in (even if he did get DemotedToExtra), and it would take an extra ''fifteen years'' for him to be referenced in another game as a [=DLC=] costume for Malt in ''VideoGame/FugaMelodiesOfSteel2''.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: [[https://imgur.com/F8jHU5H As shown here]], there was quite a few things changed from the Prototype era, such as the stages being more open and explorable, different, rougher designs for the main characters, and there was going to be an onscreen counter showing all of the kittens you've caught.
* WordOfDante: According to a [[https://imgur.com/7SRjKJk Discord statement]] from ''VideoGame/FugaMelodiesOfSteel'' creative director Yoann Gueritot, [[spoiler:Prairie was Belgium prior to the Reset]].
* WorkingTitle: The game was internally known as ''Little Tail'' during the prototype stages, and it's presumed that this is where the franchise name ''Little Tail Bronx'' came from.
