* ActingForTwo:
** Creator/JohnDiMaggio as General Julius Steel and Ilana's father, the King of Galaluna. He keeps popping up as extras all over the place, along with Creator/TaraStrong. Of course, with their wide ranges and main character positions, this isn't really too surprising.
** Creator/KariWahlgren voices Kimmy and her two friends, Monica and Amber.
* CreativeDifferences: According to Genndy, a major factor in the network's lack of support was a shift in management during his time away, meaning that he wasn't working for the people whose trust he'd earned in the first ten years of his career. The whole exhaustive experience also caused the crew to simply lose interest.
* CrossDressingVoices: Creator/VanessaMarshall as Xeexi, if it really is male.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Of the "switch its time slot a lot" variety.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: It's highly unlikely the series will receive a DVD/Blu-ray release in America any time soon due to Warner Bros. writing off the show. However, it is still available on [=iTunes=] for digital purchase and was formerly on Netflix. The complete first season was released on DVD by Australian distributor Madman Entertainment, but very few copies are out there, often selling secondhand for over $100.
* NoExportForYou: Was only released in both America and Australia. It's currently unavailable to purchase everywhere else.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Kimmy is voiced by Creator/CassieScerbo in her first appearance in "Showdown at Sherman High", and then by Creator/KariWahlgren for the rest of the series. Both of them, interestingly enough, voice characters in ''WesternAnimation/RandyCunninghamNinthGradeNinja''.
** Young Lance is also voiced by different child actors in "Shaman of Fear" and "Shadows of Youth", although it could be that he's at a different age.
* PlayingAgainstType: Vanessa Marshall as [[NightmareFuel Xeexi]].
* RecycledScript: The "Tashy 497" episode was a recycle of a ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' episode, with Ilana as Bubbles and Lance as Buttercup.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: When the creators balked at the idea of licensing the series for toy manufacturing (an unfortunate side-effect of an economic recession), the network swiftly canceled the series halfway through its run. They then abruptly changed the time slot from Wednesday night to Saturday morning, ensuring that it could die quietly without its fans knowing the truth and clamoring for its return, and eventually wrote the show off for tax exemption (the same thing which happened to ''WesternAnimation/MegasXLR'', removing any possibilities of reruns). The experience left the crew apathetic, and they all drifted from Cartoon Network to work on new projects.
* SendingStuffToSaveTheShow: Letters, fan art, purple shirts...
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Creator/GenndyTartakovsky said he wanted to do episodes featuring more of Lance's father and a musical episode with Ilana to show off Creator/TaraStrong's singing ability.
** According to a [[https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/the-creator-of-samurai-jack-and-hotel-transylvania-wants-to-bring-back-old-school-animation 2018 interview with Syfy]], Tartakovsky and his crew wrote 10 more episodes of the show before it was ultimately cancelled.
