* {{Defictionalization}}: [[http://lparchive.org/Snatcher-(Screenshot)/chapter26.html Now you too can enjoy the delicacy that is Neo Kobe Pizza!]] Folks from [[http://www.destructoid.com/neo-kobe-pizza-a-snatcher-inspired-dinner-in-pictures-130519.phtml Destructoid]] tried it as well. Verdict? Even better than conventional pizza.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Kojima planned the game to have five acts at first, but was forced to cut it down to two acts. The first releases on the PC-88 and [=MSX2=] also had no ending, forcing the players to wait until the [=TurboGrafx-CD=] version. Developers cited memory constraints and unusually long development period as their reason.
* FanTranslation: The [=MSX2=] version received a fan translation into Portuguese in 2002, and English in 2003
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The game got one release in the US in 1995, and then was never released again. Even in Japan, it's last port was a 1996 port for the Sega Saturn. Given that the game was released right at the start of the Sega CD's market drying up, the game didn't sell well at all, making copies very rare and ''extremely'' expensive. Your best bet will be an emulator.
* NoDubForYou: The PC Engine CD version was officially released in the US and Europe in 2020 on the [=TurboGrafx-16=] Mini and PC Engine [=CoreGrafx=] Mini without any translation. (Still notable, in that this was the first time that ''Snatcher'' had ever been reissued in any form.)
* NoExportForYou: All versions except the Platform/SegaCD one never made it outside of Japan with an English script. Speaking of, see RemadeForTheExport.
* RecursiveAdaptation: Act 3, which was first featured in the console versions, was based on the final portion of the game that was added in ''SD Snatcher''.
* RemadeForTheExport: The Sega CD port was made specifically for an English localization, as there was no release for the Japanese Mega CD.
* TranslationCorrection: In a remarkable example of [[AsianSpeekeeEngrish Engrish]], JUNKER originally stood for "Judgment Uninfected Naked Kind & Execute Ranger." In the Sega CD version, it was changed to the somewhat more logical "Japanese Undercover Neuro-Kinetic Elimination Ranger."
* UrbanLegendOfZelda:
** There were some rumors that typing "Konami" on the Sega CD port would alter the graphics in the game. However, even though there's a little chime when entered, it doesn't do anything.
** There were also rumors that typing the KonamiCode on the title screen would make you invincible in the shooting sequences. (It won't.)
