* ActorAllusion:
** One sketch ended with [[NamesTheSame Michael Myers turning out to be Mike Myers]] as Seth Green was in the Film/AustinPowers movies. There was also a parody of ''Film/IdleHands'', which Seth was in as well.
** In the "Princess Battle" segment in "Stone Cold Steve Cold Stone", Ginnifer Goodwin once again voices [[Series/OnceUponATime Snow White]].
* CashCowFranchise: Qualifies as this from the Star Wars specials ''alone''. Also the primary reason why Seth Green halted production on his other animated series, ''WesternAnimation/TitanMaximum''.
* ColbertBump: Pretty much every minor character that appeared in the ''Star Wars'' skits have gotten massive boosts in popularity due to how the show portrayed them. Notable examples include "[[FanNickname Pruneface]]", Yarael Poof, Bossk, and Gary the stormtrooper (who is the random stormtrooper who asks Obi-Wan and Luke about R2-D2 and C-3PO).

* HeyItsThatVoice: They actually got a fair number of the original voice actors to parody their own roles, such as the cast of ''Franchise/ScoobyDoo'' or getting Creator/MarkHamill to do SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker.
** Who would've expected UsefulNotes/AbrahamLincoln to be voiced by [[Wrestling/HulkHogan HULK HOGAN]]??
** Creator/KellyHu does a lot of the voices.
** As does [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Sarah Michelle Gellar]]. One of those times ''was'' voicing Buffy and herself, admittedly...
** Creator/SethMacFarlane, Creator/MilaKunis and Alex Borstein, Seth Green's castmates from ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' did several voice roles on the show.
** If Broadway fans listen closely every once in a while, they may hear the voice of Eden Espinosa, known for starring as Elphaba in ''Theatre/{{Wicked}}''.
** Donald Faison of ''Series/{{Scrubs}}'' fame is known to provide many voices for the show. Including Stormtroopers and Nick Furry.
** ''Series/{{Community}}'''s Donald Glover is Mace Windu ''and'' a Stormtrooper in the third Star Wars special.
** Zac Efron voiced a couple of characters, like a deranged Music/BillyJoel.
** Creator/FrankWelker and Creator/CreeSummer both returned to their roles as [[WesternAnimation/InspectorGadget Dr. Claw and Penny Gadget]], respectively, in "Cyberdyne". Welker also voiced every instance of [[Franchise/GIJoe Flint]] and [[Franchise/{{Transformers}} Soundwave]].
** Appropriately enough for a FriendToAllLivingThings, Creator/HaydenPanettiere voiced a cat (namely [[WesternAnimation/ThunderCats Cheetara]]).
** Creator/ScarlettJohansson voiced a number of characters.
** Creator/RachaelLeighCook does a few as well, most notably [[Franchise/MastersOfTheUniverse Evil Lyn]].
** Creator/DanielRadcliffe voiced Thomas the Tank Engine in one episode.
** Larisa Oleynik returned as [[Series/TheSecretWorldOfAlexMack Alex Mack]]
** Bitch Puddin' is Creator/KateeSackhoff, who also reprises [[Series/BattlestarGalacticareimagined Starbuck]] in a few sketches.
** Yes, that is Creator/MichaelChiklis and Creator/ChrisEvans reprising their roles from ''Film/TheFantasticFour'' (and ''Series/TheShield'') in [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp6ugLTzRLE this sketch.]]
* TheOtherDarrin: [[Franchise/StarWars "The Emperor's Phone Call"]] was originally made before Abraham Benrubi was settled on as the series' official voice of Darth Vader. When the sketch was re-compiled for the first ''Star Wars'' special, Vader's sole line within was redubbed with Benrubi's voice.
* TheRedStapler: Creator/AdultSwim released a [[TastesLikeDiabetes 5 pound pink gummy bear]] in honor of the infamous sketch.
* TalkingToHimself: In ''Bad Boy Meets Damaged Chick With Daddy Issues'', Creator/SethGreen voices Daniel and Daniel's mother while Breckin Meyer provides the voices of Dina/Ali[=/=]Creator/LindsayLohan and Munson, with Munson getting Lindsay pregnant.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** For the Creator/DCComics special, the show's staff asked Creator/MarkHamill to appear as SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker, but since Hamill has retired from the role following ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity'' he turned them down. As a result, Joker is TheVoiceless and his one joke doesn't involve him talking.
** Creator/PeterCullen was asked to reprise his role as Optimus Prime for a skit involving Optimus getting prostate cancer. Peter declined because he takes the role of Optimus ''very'' seriously.
* TheWikiRule: [[http://robotchicken.wikia.com/wiki/Robot_Chicken_Wiki The Robot Chicken Wiki]] trades expository descriptions for Creator/AdultSwim Video clips of the actual sketches! [[WikiMagic It still could use some help, though.]]
