* DummiedOut: ''Rayman Raving Rabbids'' retains many mechanics and features that were related to its origins as a traditional 3D platformer, most of them disabled or limited in the final game.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Originally, the first ''Rabbids'' game was going to be a ''VideoGame/{{Rayman}}'' platformer, and featured things like Rayman going on an epic quest, and the ability to ride different animals and machines into battle. Then it became a mini-game fest. The UsefulNotes/GameBoyAdvance and UsefulNotes/NintendoDS versions, being platformers, are the closest things that exist to the original vision.
* ManualMisprint:
** The first game's Wii manual discusses an options menu that allows one to change quite a few settings, but in the actual game, there is nothing more than audio menu that allows you to adjust audio track volumes. The reason for this, given by the development team, is because since the game was a launch title, the development team initially had meant to put in a lot more settings in the actual game. When it turned out the Wii would allow you to change these settings in the actual operating system (for example, if your TV was widescreen or not), the options menu in the game was scrapped but was mistakenly left in the manual.
** The second game's manual inexplicably has cheat codes listed in the screenshot of the main menu. These were likely debug features, as none of them actually work in-game.
* NoExportForYou:
** Inverted in one of the songs in the Japanese version of ''Raving Rabbids 2''. One of the songs the Japanese version of said sequel got was ''Korega Watashino Ikiru Michi (That's The Way It Is)'' by Music/PuffyAmiYumi. The song replaced ''A Teenager in Love'' that was in the US and European releases of the game. Word has it that Ubisoft wanted to license the song for worldwide use, but [[ExecutiveMeddling Sony Music would only license the song for a Japan-only release and refused to grant Ubisoft international rights to use the song]]. It's especially painful since the duo did record an English version of the song (''That's the Way It Is'') for the US market.
** Out of the eleven existing volumes of the Rabbids comic book series by Thitaume and Pujol, only the first two have been translated and released to the United States. The third volume was planned to be released but was later cancelled for unknown reasons.
** The Game Boy Advance game and the Nintendo DS versions of the first two games were never released in Japan.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The original scenario was about Rayman finding love and [[EnemyMine joining André]], Rayman 3's BigBad, against their enemies, the Rabbids. It was also going to be a free roaming platformer that had Rayman riding animals, fighting the Rabbids in hand to hand combat, and saving his friends from them.
** Rayman 4 has a confirmed prototype found [[https://youtu.be/UFELinfZu88 Here]] which had an entire level showcasing a Rabbid Base in a Basin under a waterfall, the more varied rabbid enemy models and robots from Raving Rabbids earliest trailers can be seen, as well as a more up close combat system, use of Raymans grapple fist as a puzzle mechanic and a "naked" Rayman model exploring the base can be seen.
** Apparently, ''Rayman Raving Rabbids 2'' was originally going to have an actual plot if not for the game [[ObviousBeta being rushed]], hence the ExcusePlot and [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse lack of conclusion to Rayman's story]]. All that's known of the plot is that Rayman would have had to rescue Globox from the Rabbids.
** ''Raving Rabbids Travel in Time'' was apparantly going to include a mini-game based on [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rprj6QPRyWA Noah's Ark.]] Concept art for the mini-game is included in the final game itself, as an unlockable.
** The now permanently closed Facebook game ''Rabbids Invasion'' was originally going to have a feature that would allow users to ''Rabbidize'' their Facebook friends by adding Rabbid eyes, ears and mouths to their profile pictures, as demonstrated by the game's trailer. This feature is nowhere to be found in the game itself, and was replaced by the Rabbid customization feature that would allow the player to dress up their Rabbid to look like the friend of their choice.
** The villain of the game was originally going to be a Jabba The Hutt styled Rabbid Emperor, with Rayman's love interest being held captive Leia-style, and as a goal point (where she is tied to a wooden post).
