* ActingForTwo: Jason Faunt plays Wes and Alex.
* CastTheRunnerUp: Creator/DanSouthworth was offered the role of Wes. Interesting to note: in the show, the team was hoping that the Quantum Morpher would go to Wes. Just before that, he auditioned for Lucas. But, apparently, the crew thought he was "a little too intense" to be the Blue Ranger.
* CreatorsFavorite:
** Erin Cahill’s favourite episode was “Jen’s Revenge”, due to getting the chance to be more aggressive.
** Dan Southworth's favorite episode was "Clash for Control Part 1". As a kid, he was a huge fan of the Series/LandOfTheLost, so having an episode set in prehistoric times was a dream come true. He also liked the "Movie Madness" episode, where he played the role of a caveman.
* DistancedFromCurrentEvents: As a series that regularly involves lots of property damage, there was a lot of editing that invoked the trope after 9/11. (fellow Fox Kids series ''WesternAnimation/TheRippingFriends'' and ''Anime/TransformersRobotsInDisguise'' also got affected- several episodes of both shows weren't aired.)
* ExecutiveMeddling:
** Eric was originally slated to die, just like his counterpart in ''[[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger Timeranger]]''. The writers were skeptical that Creator/FoxKids [[NeverSayDie would allow this]], so they filmed two versions of the scene: one where he died, and one where he lived. Fox Kids, as expected, vetoed the death. It worked out for the better, considering his performances in his two teamup appearances.
** Also, the originally planned ending had Jen staying in 2001 with Wes to keep the [[ScrewDestiny recurring theme]] going. But due to this trope this was thrown out the window, resulting in writer Judd Lynn quitting the show. The team-up in the next season did have Jen return to the present, though it's never stated one way or the other whether she stayed this time.
* InMemoriam:
** "[[Recap/PowerRangersTimeForceCircuitUnsure Circuit Unsure]]" was dedicated to original [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Yellow Ranger]] Creator/ThuyTrang after she was killed in a car accident.
** "[[Recap/PowerRangersTimeForceQuantumSecrets Quantum Secrets]]" was dedicated to long time ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' make-up and costume designer Minoru Uchiyama, who also worked on ''Power Rangers'' as well.
* IronyAsSheIsCast: Kevin Kleinberg (Trip) has a red belt in karate and seven years of kickboxing experience. He rarely shows off this skill when Trip is unmorphed and Trip is depicted as being the weakest of the Rangers in terms of fighting skill.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Of a sort. The show is readily available on DVD and across multiple digital platforms; that being said, due to the September 11th attacks, all episodes that were produced and aired before 9/11 had to be heavily edited during reruns to remove several shots of buildings being blown up and destroyed, people running in terror due to said buildings being destroyed, as well as the minute references to terrorism in the speech Ransik makes during the fourth episode. This means in order to see the episodes in their uncut form, you’ll have to scour the internet for the original broadcast versions.
* MissingEpisode: According to Creator/ShoutFactory, one of the original uncut episodes was destroyed, though it's current unclear which ''exactly'' it is.
* TheOtherDarrin: Alison [=MacInnis=] (Dana) went ill during the ADR filming for "Time for Lightspeed", so Creator/CatherineSutherland was called in by the producers to voice Dana's morphed lines.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: The reason the show is for the most part a ShotForShotRemake was because Timeranger’s plot was ingrained into the stock footage, making it hard to make significant changes.
* RecastAsARegular: Years before Creator/DanSouthworth got the part of Eric -- during the Zordon-era, to be exact -- he was a StuntDouble for Creator/AustinStJohn (Jason) and for Creator/JohnnyYongBosch (Adam), when both their characters were suited up (though of course it's well known that those two did most of their own stunts when unmorphed and on a few occasions when they were suited up).
* SeparatedAtBirthCasting: Creator/DanSouthworth as Eric Myers looks so much like his Japanese counterpart, Shinji Kasahara as Naoto Takizawa, that at several points the series uses faraway shots of Naoto directly from ''Timeranger''.
* UnderageCasting: Michael Copon (Lucas) was the youngest cast member at 18 years of age. Assuming that the Time Force agency is the futuristic equivalent of a police academy, and that Lucas is the same age as his actor, that would mean that he somehow managed to finish school, go through all the training required to work in law enforcement, and meet all the qualifications despite being young enough to be a senior in high school. This also goes for Creator/ErinCahill (Jen), who was 21 at the time, though to a lesser extent. Deborah Estelle Harris (Katie) at 23 is a little more believable. Justified with Kevin Kleinberg (Trip), as Trip is an alien and therefore could be any age.
