* ActingForTwo: Creator/MitsukoHorie voices Susumu Hori, Anna Hottenmeyer, and Puchi.
* ActorAllusion: This isn’t the first time Creator/ToshioFurukawa voiced a character named Ataru.
* BadExportForYou: The American version of Drill Spirits, which drops Rabbit/Usagi as a playable character, removes two stages (South PoleEndless without powerups, becomes Outer Space in the US version, which originally had powerups in the JP/EU versions, and The Moon2000m with powerups), and cuts the Dristone Driller mode (based on the gameplay of Mr. Driller A[='=]s story mode and The Hole of Druaga in Drill Land). It also disabled single Game Card Driller Race, requiring all players to own a copy of Drill Spirits to race each other in the US version.
** The GameBoy Color version of Mr Driller allowed players to save their high scores... but only in Japan. For the west, Namco opted to release the game on a SRAM-less cartridge, most likely to reduce the cost, thus depriving the european and american versions of a save feature. It can be restored thanks to modifications, but it's obviously imposible on an actual cartridge.
* NoExportForYou: Most of the best Mr. Driller gamesG, and A(ce) never saw light outside of Japan, its 99% guaranteed that no one knew that Susumu had a brother, or that his dad was actually Dig Dug until the release of Drill Spirits.
** Subverted with Drill Land. The original [=GameCube=] release was never localized, but its remaster on Switch was. Even so, the physical release was limited to Japan.
