* ColbertBump: This game would largely be forgotten if not for ''WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd'' showcasing it in his Jaguar episode.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Was originally gonna feature a completely different artstyle before publisher Atari forced them to make it more of a Franchise/MortalKombat [[FollowTheLeader Klone]] in a short time span.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: In addition to the different artstyle mentioned above, there were also plans for between 10-20 playable characters that were obviously left out due to time constraints. Originally, Alaric and Gyaku were going to be named Eksel and Tsuba, respectively, and Alaric's attire was originally going to be red, before being changed to blue.
** Atari had actually greenlit a sequel (whether this was because the original sold well or because Atari were desperate for cash is up for debate), although like a lot of games that were in development for the Jaguar, it was cancelled when Atari decided to leave the console market. Also like a lot of games that were in development for the Jaguar, Atari had never told the developers, Hand Made Studios, about their financial issues, meaning they wasted resources on a project they wouldn't be compensated for, and were eventually forced to shut down.
