* DivorcedInstallment: Although this show did get adapted into Series/Beetleborgs, rumors were that Saban had instead initially planned on using footage from this show for a third season of Series/VRTroopers, having passed over Series/BlueSWAT.
* FollowTheLeader: Both B-Fighter[='=]s direct sequel and its direct sequel had motifs involving JapaneseBeetleBrothers.
* MakingUseOfTheTwin: Takuya and Shadow, due to being identical twins - Daisuke Tsuchiya as Takuya and Keisuke Tsuchiya. (Ironically, in a case of role reversal, Keisuke had previously played Kazu/[=KirinRanger=] in Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger, with Daisuke as his evil clone in episode 25.)
* PropRecycling: Simbad's sword seen in Episode 30 is a reused and recolored Hellfried Sword/Sword of Darkness.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Reina Hazuki, the actress for Rei, was injured during the filming for episode 14. This led to Rei wearing a scarf on her neck for the next handful of episodes to cover up the scars from her actress's injury and becoming OutOfFocus, as she could only film inside the studio for limited portions of time. A voice actress was also brought in her to voice her as Reddle. By episode 22, Rei was written out of the show entirely and replaced by the character of Mai Takatori.
