!!For the comic book series:
* DeletedScene: ''Le châtiment de Basenhaut'' has a censored page where Johan and the Count of Treville [[WaterTorture torture a spy by forcing him to drink water]] resulting in the spy getting a BalloonBelly. In the published album, the spy ends up with a big belly [[OrphanedReference for no apparent reason]].
* NoExportForYou: Only two albums have been officially translated, and one of those was only because it introduced ComicBook/TheSmurfs. Papercutz is in the process of translating the Smurf-related stories to be included in their ''Smurfs Anthology'' series.
* OutlivedItsCreator: Though only four volumes came out after Peyo's death. The first three written by Yvan Delporte and the last one by Luc Parthoens.
* ReferencedBy: Peewit has a cameo in ''ComicBook/PierreTombal'' where his tomb stone reveals that he is the man ''buried with his flute, according to his last wishes''.
* SequelGap: ''Le sortilège de Maltrochu'' (1970) came out 6 years after ''Le pays maudit'' (1964). Then ''La horde du corbeau'' (1994), written by Yvan Delporte, came out 24 years after ''Le sortilège de Maltrochu''.

!!For the related animated series:
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: A few ''Johan and Peewit'' episodes are available in the United States on DVD and download; the rest were released on ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs1981'' DVD sets only in Germany.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Subverted, however. The series was dropped after the second season, but the characters weren't. They continued to appear in The Smurfs cartoon show until Season 8 (with Homnibus getting the most appearances).
