* ActorAllusion: The intro shows Little John and Baloo sharing a laugh. Both were voiced by the same actor in their films.
* ChannelHop: The show was dropped from ABC's line-up after airing the first 26 episodes; the remaining episodes premiered on Toon Disney.
* TheDanza: Scrooge [=McDuck=].
* DuelingShows / DuelingGames: KingdomHearts came out in 2002, featuring another Disney crossover, albeit one with a very different premise.
* HeyItsThatVoice: Rooooood Roddy (from ThePriceIsRight) as Mic.
** And most of the original voice actors from the movies reprise their roles for old time's sake. Yes, that is James Woods as Hades. And Jodi Benson as Ariel. And GilbertGottfried as Iago. And Kathryn Beaumont as Disney/ In Wonderland, and Dinosaurs Florence Stanley as Mrs. Packard.
** There's also several voice actors in this show such as Creator/CoreyBurton, JimCummings, RobPaulsen, and TressMacNeille.
** Creator/JohnCleese was the narrator for a few shorts. Mainly the ones where an InteractiveNarrator was needed, such as the Nutcracker short.
** Mrs. Turtle is Mrs. Potato Head.
** Pluto's shoulder angel and devil are, respectively, Eric Idle and Penn Jillette.
* MissingEpisode: "Minnie Takes Care of Pluto".
* NonSingingVoice: RobPaulsen for Hades in House of Villains. despite the fact that JamesWoods did his own singing for the character in HerculesTheAnimatedSeries.
* TheOtherDarrin: Both subverted & played straight. Many of the newer Disney characters were voiced by the actual actors from the films (although some, like Timon, played this straight), while of course, characters from older movies had to have replacements (seeing as how pretty much all of those actors are dead). An interesting inversion is that Alice, during her brief speaking cameo in the show, was actually voiced by Kathryn Beaumont, who played her in the original film (and was probably pushing 70 by that point).
** AkiraKamiya has retired Iago at this point and so ToruOkawa voices him in the Japanese dub.
* RecycledScript: "Mickey's Airplane Kit" and "Car Washers" are rehashes of the black-and-white shorts "WesternAnimation/PlaneCrazy" and "Mickey's Service Station".
* This Walt Disney Television Animation production was created apparently to commemorate and nearly coincide with Walt Disney's birthday.
