There was more scenes with Creator/LiamNeeson, and the ghosts were more involved in the plot, but the studio had no idea how to market it and recut it against Jordan's wishes. A shorter version of this cut was released in Japan.
* FakeIrish: Creator/DarylHannah, complete with terrible accent. Creator/PeterOToole doesn't even try (he was half Irish at least). The rest of the Irish cast are actually Irish actors, though.
* TheOtherMarty: Creator/LizSmith was cast at short notice after the original choice, Creator/BerylReid, was too ill to work.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Creator/SeanConnery was signed on to play Peter Plunkett, but had to drop out right before shooting due to scheduling issues.
