!!Specific
* The third Disney animated series based on crime/mystery/suspense after ''WesternAnimation/ChipNDaleRescueRangers'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Bonkers}}''.
* The last animated series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation expressly for Saturday morning network broadcast. Going forward, future productions were greenlight and produced for Disney's cable networks, with the ABC Kids block airing reruns of this programming.

!!General
* ActorAllusion:
** Appropriately enough, Fillmore's parents are voiced by Holly Robinson Peete and Gary Dourdan, best known for their roles on cop dramas ''Series/TwentyOneJumpStreet'' and ''Series/{{CSI}}'', respectively.
** This isn't the [[WesternAnimation/{{Detention}} first time]] that Creator/TaraStrong has voiced a {{goth}} girl, nor would it be her [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003 last]].
** In “Cry the Beloved Mascot” Fillmore and Ingrid find themselves working with a reported psychic. Creator/OrlandoBrown previously played Eddie Thomas, best friend of the titular main character of ''Series/ThatsSoRaven'' and bonafide psychic.
* TheDanza: Vallejo shares the same first name as [[Creator/HoratioSanz his voice actor]], although it's never mentioned in the series.
* DawsonCasting: Zigzagged. Some play it straight (such as Tara Strong as Ingrid) while others avert it (Orlando Brown as Fillmore)
* HeAlsoDid: Creator Scott Gimple went on to become head writer on ''Series/TheWalkingDead2010''. [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer Yes, it's the same guy.]]
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Like most Disney animated shows, this show has never had a VHS or DVD release, but is available on Germany's iTunes. As of this writing, it is available on Creator/DisneyPlus… but only in the UK and Ireland.
* MissingTrailerScene: A number of scenes featured in the opening sequence never appeared in the show properly which includes but is not limited to:
** Fillmore and Ingrid jumping off a diving board into a swimming pool below.
** Fillmore going after someone running away in a giant hamster ball.
** Fillmore and Ingrid tied up in a room with a science fair volcano about to go off.
** O'Farrell opening a locker with coils spilling out
** O'Farrell opening a can of soda and getting sprayed in the face.
** Fillmore tied up to a chair and sliding along the snow into a snowman
** Ingrid and Fillmore on top of a giant parade float
* OutOfOrder: The list of aired episodes differs greatly from the list of episodes in production order. For example, “Ingrid Third: Public Enemy #1” was made first, but “To Mar A Stall” took the slot as the pilot instead.
* ProductionPosse: Two retroactive examples.
** Many of the writers, producers and voice actors would show up again a few years later in another Disney cartoon, ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDragonJakeLong''.
** Likewise, voice actors Mae Whitman and Jessie Flower (who’ve made guest appearances as one shot characters) would not only lend their voices for the aforementioned series, but they would later play lead characters in ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender''.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Though the show was cancelled after two seasons, the official wiki revealed proposed episodes in what would have been the third and final season.
** One episode would have shown Wayne Liggett coming to visit and helping Fillmore solve a case while Ingrid was out sick.
** One episode would have shown how Vallejo joined the safety patrol and Malika and Frank were involved.
** There would have been an episode addressing Ingrid's past and the absence of her mother.
** Lastly, there would have been a two part episode concluding the series showing the safety patrol taking down an underground black market. Ingrid would also have received an offer to transfer to the local high school, but it would be revealed to be a set up to split her and Fillmore up. When Principal Folsom offers Ingrid a real opportunity to transfer, she doesn't take it and admits that while everyone gives her so much credit for her smarts, she thinks she's better when working with Fillmore.
