* DuelingShows: The 2010s revival, on a technicality with Creator/DisneyChannel's relaunched version of ''Series/WinLoseOrDraw'', though ''[=FiO=]'' ended up airing its last episode a few months before ''[=WLoD=]'' premiered.
* MissingEpisode:
** One episode from Season 2 -- which, according to [[https://web.archive.org/web/20021017164958/http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/6540/season2.html this episode guide]], featured Kevin Kopelow, Amanda Bynes, Danny Tamberelli, and Lori Beth Denberg as the panelists -- was banned after ONE airing, because the second contestant's talent was "Leaks Inhaled Milk From Eyes." It was objected by a group of parents, even ''after'' a DontTryThisAtHome disclaimer was put up. A brief clip from the episode can be found in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwRGRHSYvDg this compilation]], at time-stamp 3:48.
** The second half of another Season 2 episode with Kevin, Shane Sweet, Josh Server and Lori Beth has been missing a long time too. Shane was slimed in the first half for "Burping" already and got slimed again in the second half for "Talking to Another Panelist" when passing to Lori Beth and addressing her directly while doing so. The section/episode then ended with the game "Lightning Letters" as performed by Kevin since the panel successfully figured out the talent.
* NoBudget: In the original series, the Secret Slime Action prize was a merchandise item in Season 1, but it became an article of ''Figure it Out'' branded clothing from Season 2 onward.
* PromotedFanboy: Many of the Nickelodeon stars who appeared in the 2010s revival were fans of the 1990s original.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Nickelodeon shot down extra seasons of ''Global GUTS'' and ''Series/LegendsOfTheHiddenTemple'' to tape ''Figure it Out'''s pilot.
----
* The slime of the original series was made of colorant, vanilla pudding and water. Wrestling/ChrisJericho correctly described it as "really, really thin pudding" in a ''Family Style'' episode. From Season 2 onward, they added more water to it for fluency in the liquid.
* Season 1 of the original series has a notoriety where the first round prizes were props of former Nickelodeon shows filmed in Nickleodeon Studios in Florida, especially the game shows such as ''Series/NickelodeonGUTS'' and its sequel, ''Global GUTS'', ''Series/DoubleDare1986'' and even ''Series/AllThat'' before moving production to New York and finally moving to Los Angeles.
* The original version is one of the last 22-minute Nickelodeon {{Game Show}}s produced in Florida (with ''Double Dare 2000'' being the last). They filmed at least ''four episodes'' on the same day. You can count on it more obviously in the clothes changes of Summer as the host in Season 1, and less obviously in Seasons 2-4, given that the audience rotated as soon as the people were waiting in line outside the studios. Normally, a season of more or less 40 episodes was filmed/taped in two-three weeks. Danny Tamberelli has claimed in several sources that he had to bathe four times during each shoot because of the slime being food-contented and sticky at the end of each taping.
