* DawsonCasting: According to the information, Miki is supposedly 16 years old, but she's played by the 20 years old (more or less) Megumi Ookawa.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The team members were originally to be designated by the naming scheme "[color] [number]", which would be used in ''Series/ChoudenshiBioman''.
** [[http://supersentaiseries954.blog77.fc2.com/blog-entry-32.html#more According to some sources]], Miki was to be played by a different actress, who's actually older. That idea quickly got shot down since she's supposed to be the youngest of the team, the actress only got to film several episodes before being replaced by Megumi Ogawa, and the rest is history. Never mind the DawsonCasting.
** While Goggle Black was the one who solidified black as a standard color for Sentai teams, he was considered to be Goggle ''Purple'' while the show was in production. It was changed to black because the production team decided purple wouldn't look good in printing; it would take [[Series/JukenSentaiGekiranger 25 years]] for a Purple (or Violet) Ranger to be realized. The legacy of this remains in Goggle Black's gem, which shines purple, and future Black Rangers over the decades tend to be represented by purple light.
** ''Daizenshuu'' 1988 mentions that the beginning scenes in the first episode were meant to be filmed on location in Germany, but Hideki Hongō’s actor could not accommodate a trip to Germany in his schedule.
** The design Fuhrer Taboo's true form was originally much different. He would have resembled a sea squirt combined with a computer and had numerous scientists assimilated into his body. He was also originally going to pilot a "Taboo Kong" instead of growing giant.
* WorkingTitle: This series was originally considered to be called ''Mirai Sentai Miraiman'', and later ''[=GoGoV=]'', but eventually became Goggle Five. The second name was reused [[Series/RescueSentaiGoGoFive 17 years later]], while part of the first name was reused in [[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger the series after that]].
