* CreatorBreakdown: Shortly after the show's first season, Joe Murray's second wife divorced him, so he started becoming less involved in the show's production until he left completely and once again blamed his creation for his love life falling apart once again. Sadder, when you realize that this is almost exactly what happened when he worked on ''WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife'' (only his first wife committed suicide, which is a sadder circumstance than being divorced).
* CreatorsFavorite: Joe Murray said on his [[http://joemurraystudio.com/character-museum/ website (under their appropriate names) ]] that his favourite characters were Edward and Lumpus due to how fun they were to write.
** Creator/TomKenny has stated Slinkman as his favourite role.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: A ''very'' rare press kit includes a DVD of the first two episodes, season one was released on DVD [[NoExportForYou but only for Region 4]], and two episodes have appeared on the Cartoon Fridays DVD and a Christmas compilation. The entire series can be bought off iTunes, and the first two seasons were also on Netflix until early 2015.
** Good luck finding the widescreen version of the movie special "Where's Lazlo?". It was never re-aired in it after its initial premiere (future showings showed it in fullscreen), and [[http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAMP-LAZLO-EMMY-DVD-CARTOON-NETWORK-1-episode-WHERES-LAZLO-PLAYS-USA/351785988078?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D777000%26algo%3DABA.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D37427%26meid%3D214fe987f846488bb1ca716b2a9501ad%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D191925707748 this "For Your Consideration" DVD sent to Emmy voters]] cropped it to fullscreen. That said, for those who are looking for a DVD of the feature, said Emmy DVD is available for purchase, and [[http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camp-Lazlo-Wheres-Lazlo-DVD-Cartoon-Network-Studios-VERY-RARE-/191925707748 a Promotional DVD]] was put up for auction...albeit, at a ''very'' high price.
* TalkingToHimself: Creator/TomKenny voices both Lumpus and Slinkman.
** Creator/CarlosAlazraqui voices Lazlo and Clam
** Creator/JeffBennett voices Raj and Samson. In fact, one episode almost entirely consists of Raj and Samson arguing with each other. Joe Murray commented that Jeff should have won an award for that.
** In a LITERAL case, Steve Little voices Brother dung Beetles Chip and Skip.
** Doug Lawrence voices Edward, Dave, Ping-Pong and Nurse Leslie.
* ThrowItIn: [[WordOfGod According to]] [[http://joemurraystudio.com/character-museum/ this (under Scoutmaster Lumpus),]] the entire ending of "Lumpus' Last Stand" (wherein [[spoiler: Lumpus is revealed to be the fake scoutmaster, playing impostor to Heffer, who he locked up, and is thrown into the insane asylum]]) was thought up by Tom Kenny during a recording session. Joe Murray decided to use it because "It tied up his character well."
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Lazlo was going to have a Brazilian accent, but ExecutiveMeddling told Joe Murray that he could only have one so he chose Raj's. WordOfGod says that Lazlo's parents are from Brazil though, but Lazlo was born in America.
** The entire series was originally planned as a children's storybook, but Joe Murray decided there was more potential for it as a cartoon.
** Chef [=McMuscli=] was initially planned as the camp deacon. ExecutiveMeddling forced Joe Murray to remove the religious themes, as "deacon" is a type of deputy priest in the Catholic faith.
** Scoutmaster Lumpus was originally envisioned as a horse, but Joe Murray decided to make him a moose instead as he felt it would fit the setting better.
