* MagnumOpusDissonance: ''Literature/TheScrewtapeLetters'' and ''Literature/TheChroniclesOfNarnia'' series sold phenomenally, by his standards, but his own favorite was ''Literature/TillWeHaveFaces''. Then, his big problem with Screwtape was that it, alone among his works, was actively unpleasant to write. Another one of Lewis' favorite books that he wrote is ''Literature/{{Perelandra}}'', which he once said was worth ten 'Screwtapes'.
* WeNamedTheMonkeyJack: Lewis hated his given name and at age four took the name "Jacksie" after a neighborhood dog that had been killed by a car. This was eventually shortened to "Jack" and became the name that he used among friends and family for the rest of his life.
