* ActorAllusion:
** RetiredBadass General Gordon, part of the RagtagBunchOfMisfits brought in to fight an invasion in the second episode, is played by Buster Crabbe -- who of course played Film/Serial in the old serials as well as the original Buck Rogers.
--->General Gordon: I've been doing that sort of thing [blasting starfighters] since before you were born, Colonel.\\
Buck: You think so?\\
General Gordon: Young man, I know so.
** In the second season episode "Journey to Oasis", Mark Lenard plays another alien Ambadassador.
** In "A Blast for Buck", Legion of Death leader Kellogg is on the long list of suspects who may have sent the deadly riddle. Appropriate as Kellogg was played by Frank Gorshin, who once played a Riddler.
* Hey, It's That Guy/Girl: JamieLeeCurtis, Jerry Orbach, Richard Moll, Anne Lockheart, Gary Coleman, Peter Graves, Frank Gorshin, Cesar Romero, Jack Palance, Markie Post, Sig Haig, Michael Ansara.
* HeyItsThatVoice
** MelBlanc as Twiki (in the first season).
** William Conrad (Cannon!) as the opening credits narrator.
* NotableOriginalMusic: Composer Johnny Harris composed the Earworm memorably funky music for the band Andromeda in the episode "Space Rockers". The song was actually released as "Odyssey (Pt. 1)" and became an underground hit. Most recently, it showed up in the game VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoSanAndreas, during the "Car Bounce Challenge" mission(RhythmGames with lowrider cars).
* TheOtherDarrin: Bob Elyea as Twiki's voice in the second season. Also, Kane was played by Henry Silva in the pilot movie and by Michael Ansara in the series proper. In both cases, the cast changes came with a personality change. Twiki became more whiny and mercurial. Kane became honorable and dutybound.
* PropRecycling: The Earth starfighters were a draft design for the Colonial Vipers from Series/Classic; Buck's shuttle Ranger 3 and the stock footage of New Chicago were recycled from Galactica's "Terra" arc. At one point in the Pilot movie, a closeup of the Earth starfighter's joystick is identical to the 3-button joysticks in Galactica (later episodes use a different joystick prop).
