* ActorAllusion:
** The Clovers have a line "let's beat these Buffys down so we can go home". Eliza Dushku of course played Faith on ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer''. Clare Kramer would later appear as Glory in Season 5. Nicole Bilderback also had a minor role in a Season 3 episode.
** The Clovers write to a Pauletta Patterson asking for money. Gabrielle Union had played a character with that name on ''Being Mary Jane''.
* ActorSharedBackground: Both Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union were cheerleaders in high school. And the cheer that Missy hears from the hotel window is one from Kristen's high school alma mater.
* DawsonCasting:
** The first movie has some slight examples - Kirsten Dunst (19) and Eliza Dushku (20) - and some really heavy ones. Gabrielle Union and Clare Kramer were 26, while Nicole Bilderback was 25.
** The sequels do however feature some teen actresses such as Hayden Panetierre (17) in the third movie and Ashley Benson (18) in the fourth.
* DyeingForYourArt: Most of the cast had to go to 'cheerleader bootcamp' to prepare.
* IronyAsSheIsCast: Aaron's girlfriend who reacts with disgust when she finds out he was a cheerleader is played by Lakers cheerleader Carla Makauf.
* MissingTrailerScene: Extra scenes with Isis appear in the trailer but not the finished film - including scenes with a boyfriend.
* PlayingAgainstType: Lindsay Slaone is more remembered for playing a [[Series/SabrinaTheTeenageWitch bumbling insecure wannabe]]. In the first film she plays a straight up AlphaBitch.
* RealLifeRelative: The director's wife cameos as the magazine editor during the awards scene in the first film.
* ThoseTwoActors: In addition to this and ''Buffy'' (mentioned above) Eliza Dushku and Clare Kramer also worked together on ''Series/TruCalling''.
* ThrowItIn: With the car wash scene in the first film. According to director Peyton Reed, Eliza Dushku didn't like any of the swimsuits the costume department had, so she drove home to get one of her own and came back with that barely-there powder blue bikini.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Terri Conn had three callbacks for the role of Torrance in the first film before Kirsten Dunst was cast.
** The DancePartyEnding[=/=]CreativeClosingCredits for ''Bring It On: All Or Nothing'' reveal that it was filmed as ''Bring It On Yet Again.'' Fortunately Creator/{{Universal}} changed the title or they might have had to call the other two movies ''Bring It On Again, Again'' and ''Bring It On One More Time''.
