* CareerResurrection: After a spotty discography, "[[Music/MichaelBuble Home]]" seemed to get his career back on track.
* ChartDisplacement: "Ol' Red" only got to #14 early in his career, but is still one of his most famous songs.
* ColbertBump: Not for one of his own songs, but his endorsement on Twitter of Craig Morgan's "The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost" caused a surge in downloads and airplay for the song, getting Morgan his first chart hit in several years and leading to him re-signing with his former label.
* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer: For some reason, "Sure Be Cool If You Did" has been erroneously credited as being co-written by Nicolle Galyon (a contestant on ''Series/TheVoice'') instead of her husband, Rodney Clawson, who is a prominent Nashville songwriter.
* CreatorCouple: With Music/MirandaLambert from 2010 to 2015, and Music/GwenStefani since 2020.
* FollowUpFailure: This dogged his career early on: "Austin" was followed by the #18 flop "All Over Me", while the #1 "The Baby" was followed by the dud "Heavy Liftin'" which stalled out at #32.
* NetworkToTheRescue: Giant Records closed while "Austin" was climbing. Parent company Creator/WarnerBrosRecords quickly stepped in to prop up the single and release the album.
* OneHitWonder: Clearly not Blake himself, but many of his collaborators have been:
** "Boys 'Round Here" is credited to "featuring Pistol Annies and Friends". Pistol Annies was a group consisting of Music/MirandaLambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley, who recorded two {{Hitless Hit Album}}s. The "And Friends" are the songwriters (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, and Craig Wiseman), the producer (Scott Hendricks), and ''Series/TheVoice'' contestant [=RaeLynn=]. While Rhett [[TwoHitWonder had two hits]] in TheNineties, [=RaeLynn=] later had a hit with "God Made Girls", and Lambert obviously has many hits of her own, everyone else credited on the song has not.
** "My Eyes" gave AdvertisedExtra credit to backing vocalist Gwen Sebastian, who was also a competitor on ''The Voice'' (although she had a few independent releases beforehand).
** Monroe herself later sang duet vocals on "Lonely Tonight", resulting in her only major chart credit to date.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: His debut single could have been "I Wanna Talk About Me", later a big hit for Music/TobyKeith, but the label thought the song was too risky for a newcomer.
