* BuryYourArt: Everyone involved with the production shows great contempt for ever working on it. As noted in KeepCirculatingTheTapes, Fox wiped all evidence of this show online by removing the show off all retailers selling the show for sale, and has refused to let it be available or resurface on Blu-ray, DVD, Creator/{{Hulu}}, and even reruns on Creator/AdultSwim, who frequently aired cartoons produced by Creator/TwentiethCenturyFox before the Disney-Fox acquisition.
* CreatorsApathy: While the series' short run is often attributed to its negative reception, it was revealed by one of the show's artists on [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHggGWbxGhs RebelTaxi]] that Creator/{{Fox}} had little faith in the show from the start. On top of [[NoBudget cutting the show's budget]] from the pilot, Fox execs only commissioned seven episodes[[note]] where as the usual standard for a TV cartoon's first season is [[ProductionLeadTime thirteen]] [[/note]]for the show to initially serve as filler between seasons of ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' (although the show itself actually aired in the fall, with the equally doomed-to-fail ''WesternAnimation/NapoleonDynamite'' cartoon taking its place as mid-season replacement), with the intent of [[ScrewedByTheNetwork cancelling Allen]] afterwards. The artist also mentions that he and the rest of the animation staff hated the show during its production, but enjoyed the time they spent with each other.
* CrossDressingVoices: Patrick is voiced by a woman, Creator/CristinaPucelli.
* DescendedCreator: Co-creator Creator/JonahHill voices Allen Gregory.
* HostilityOnTheSet: This show was one of Creator/RachelBloom's first credits in the industry, and she has nothing positive to say about her experience as a writer there. This mostly came down to how the otherwise all-male writing staff treated her as if she didn't have anything valuable to contribute, belittling her ideas constantly. It wasn't until she joined the staff of ''WesternAnimation/RobotChicken'' when she realized that writing rooms aren't inherently designed to put others down and can actually be encouraging and engaging spaces in the right hands.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: It's rather telling of how little faith Creator/{{Fox}} had in the show that they didn't just cancel it, they basically ''[[BuryYourArt nuked it from orbit]]'' by [[http://www.amazon.com/Pilot/dp/B005KO32GU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401818884&sr=8-1&keywords=allen+gregory completely removing the series]] from any website offering the episodes for sale. In other words, the series is more or less impossible to watch online outside illegal file-sharing and streaming sites, as even low-quality uploads on Website/YouTube are [[ScrewedByTheLawyers prone to being deleted by Fox]]. The only legal way of viewing it is iTunes, but [[NoExportForYou only if you live in the United Kingdom]], where no one even remembers the show.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Fox practically had no faith in this show, as the network spent most of their adverts on promoting episodes of ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' and ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'', the shows ''Allen Gregory'' were sandwiched between, which also failed to get audiences interested in the show.
