* ChannelHop: The show was on Creator/{{NBC}} from 1985 to 1989, then switched to Creator/{{ABC}} from 1989 to 1990; the season on ABC saw it paired up with ''WesternAnimation/TheNewAdventuresOfWinnieThePooh'' as the ''Gummi Bears/Winnie the Pooh Hour''. And a year earlier, it had debuted in syndication as part of the first season of WesternAnimation/TheDisneyAfternoon, lasting on that block until 1991.
* TheDanza: Princess ''Marie'' is voiced in the Mexican Spanish dub by ''Maria'' Fernanda Morales (Marie is the French form of the Spanish name ''Maria'').
* DiedDuringProduction: Bill Scott, who voiced several characters in the first season, died days after the eighth episode aired.
** Roger C. Carmel, who replaced Scott as the voice of Sir Tuxford in season 2, died while that season was still airing new episodes.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Only the first three seasons (a total of 29 episodes) were released on DVD in the United States. However, the rest of the series was released across 7 DVD volumes in Australia. As of 2019, the entire series is available on Disney+.
* KidsMealToy: Wendy's sold plastic cups, lenticular medallions, and promotional posters in their Kids' Meals in 1985.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Bill Scott was the original voice of Gruffi, Toady, and Sir Tuxford. After he passed away, Creator/CoreyBurton voiced Gruffi and Toady for the rest of the series. Scott would continue to be credited as a voice actor through season 4.
** Creator/RogerCCarmel voiced Sir Tuxford in Season 2, while Creator/BrianCummings voiced him starting in Season 3.
** Creator/PaulWinchell left the series after Season Five, so Creator/{{Jim Cummings|1952}} took over as the voice of Zummi.
*** Because of the international order putting "Never give a Gummi an Even Break" in Season Six there is one last episode with Winchell as Zummi.
** Also, the voice artist for Cavin has changed regularly during the course of the show's run as the artist in question grew up and his voice broke and had to be replaced. In this case, Christian Jacobs first voiced Cavin during season 1, then Brett Johnson did the honors in season 2, followed by [[Series/MarriedWithChildren David]] [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra Faustino]] in season 3, then Creator/JasonMarsden in seasons 4 and 5, and finally R.J. Williams in season 6.
