* Near the end of the first game (when you visit Aralbad for the second time), choosing the dialogue topic "Kate" while talking to Oscar gives you this:
--> '''Kate:''' You know something, Oscar? Despite all our mishaps and your grating personality, I think I'm going to miss you.
--> '''Oscar:''' Why? Are you leaving us, Kate Walker?

* The ending may be very much this as well. [[spoiler:Hans, an old, old man with the soul of a young child, finally achieving his dream of riding a mammoth... The scene is extremely dreamlike and ambiguous. One common interpretation is that it's actually symbolic of Hans' death and the mammoths are taking him to heaven... Not a single bit less tearjerking]].
