* It's a brief moment, but seeing the quirky Clare and the sagely Udonna so....broken by Imperios's Dark Wish. It's pretty sad stuff.
* What Udonna must have went through during the Great War as she almost lost everyone she loved and cared about. She lost her sister, her husband is presumed dead, the people who fought alongside him are most likely dead, Calindor is missing (she didn't know that he betrayed them at the time until the episode "Long Ago"), Daggaron is missing and Bowen is gone with her only hoping that he is taken somewhere safe during the chaos. It is very surprising that she isn't more broken in the present.
** Some of this can be seen in "The Gatekeeper, Part 2" when Udonna is putting away her sister's belongings and comes across a ring. She looks devastated, as she thinks back on her husband and their son.
* In "Ranger Down" Jenji nearly dying when he tries to help the Rangers against the MonsterOfTheWeek, [[MyGodWHatHaveIDone because of his guilt over what he did to Fireheart]].
--> '''Jenji''': Tell Fireheart I'm sorry...
** Jenji's backstory is downright tragic. A king jealous of his popularity had a witch curse him; he became ostracized by friends and family before ultimately being banished. He was wandering alone for some time until Daggeron met him, and he ended up falling victim to an evil trap that would've turned him to dust if not for the genie's lamp. As he says, he has no family but the protagonists, so being overshadowed by Fireheart pressed a major TraumaButton.
--->'''Jenji''': On my own again. [[YouKeepTellingYourselfThat Just how I like it. No one to depend on. No one asking me for wishes.]]
* Leelee trying to convince her mother to go to Briarwood for a normal life while Necrolai is fixating on a spell book that can be used for further evil. Leelee repeatedly warns Necrolai that she's about to leave with or without her and looks absolutely crushed when her mother doesn't even acknowledge this ultimatum.
* Madison lamenting how little she has accomplished in all her months as a Ranger in "The Light." Yes, there's some humorous LampshadeHanging, but she still looks so downcast that it's easy to pity her.
* Toby forced to fire Phineas when he keeps scaring away the customers. He hates to do it and Phineas' sad look of understanding makes it worse.
** Nick reflecting on why his baby blanket is a TragicKeepsake. It's the only thing he has from his biological parents.
* "Heir Apparent Pt. 2", Udonna's breakdown when [[spoiler: Leanbow is recaptured and turned back into Koragg]].
* What happens to [[spoiler: Matoombo]] near the end of "The Return".
