Crash and Bernstien is one of Disney XD's newest tweencoms, and a mix of live-action and puppetry. Created by Eric Friedman, the series centers around a teenaged son, among three sisters, who wishes to have a brother. For his birthday, Wyatt Bernstein is taken to a Build-A-Bestie store where he creates a puppet that he names Crash, who comes to life as the brother he always wanted. Crash and Wyatt must deal with three sisters of various ages at home, as the two might have their differences like what other brothers do, but they still have each other's back.

!!This series contains these tropes:

* HundredPercentAdorationRating: While not as extreme as most cases, Wyatt is this except for his siblings but they don't count because that's normal between siblings. When Wyatt was accused of making a slandering commercial, people said they what he did was wrong but acted like it was ok.
* AlphaBitch: Wyatt's sister Amanda.
* AnAesop: Even though the show isn't EI-rated, most post-Episode 1 episodes have at least one.
** Episode 2's was to not be scared of anything.
** Episode 3's was that some things in life are hard.
** Episode 4's was to follow the rules and to tell the truth,
** Episode 5's was that fitting in sometimes isn't the best thing to do.
** episode 6's was about responsibility, Episode 7's was "Practice makes perfect".
** Episode 8's was how stealing is wrong and always keep your guard up.
** Episode 9's was how you don't need technology to have fun.
** Episode 10's was people aren't always who appear to be.
** Episode 11's was (didn't see that ep).
** Episode 12's was to be assertive and treat new neighbor's like friends not ragdolls.
** Episode 13's was how money can't buy you everything.
** Episode 14's was that germs are everywhere and there's no way to avoid them (also a minor one was don't tease people when their sick because when they get better they will get back at you).
** Episode 15's was about standing up for others.
** Episode 16's was about not being jealous.
** Episode 17's was about not using others to your own advantage.
** Episode 18's was about learning self control.
** Episode 20's was to do nice thing for the sake of it, not for something in return.
* ApologeticAttacker: The vice principal in "Educating Crash"
--> (Vice Prinicipal throws Crash at her door)
--> '''Vice Principal''': (picks up Crash) Sorry, I thought the door was open (opens door and throws Crash out again)
* AreWeThereYet: Crash says this while playing a motorcycle game in episode 7.
* [[ABoyAndHisX A Boy and His Puppet]]
* ButtMonkey: Pesto.
* TheCutie: Cleo and Jasmine are this.
* DeliberatelyCuteChild: Jasmine; she even admitted to it in "Crash vs. Flex"
* DisappearedDad: It's never said what happened to the Bernstein's dad
** Finally explained in Seaosn 2 that their dad was filming wildlife in Africa, there are some implications he might become a part of the main cast
* DoNotAttempt: Any broadcast of a new episode when it is first aired contains this kind of disclaimer with Crash telling the audience to not destroy things like he does on the show, because he claims the audience is not made of felt and stuffing.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Crash throwing swords through the house
* ExactWords: On the Season 1 Finale, [[spoiler: the BigBad, angry at Crash for acting like a regular puppet instead of his usual self when he shows him to his mother]], orders him to "Act like Crash!". HilarityEnsues
* HypnoPendulum: Crash uses this and HypnoticEyes in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3EeAsWt3XU this scene]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: Crash and Wyatt spend part of Crashtagion tormenting Cleo while she's sick feeling no guilt, but in the end when she gets back at Crash by doing the same to him while he's sick, Wyatt gets mad at her.
* HypocriticalHumor: In "Monster Crash" Crash agrees with Wyatt that no one's stupid enough to buy bags of dirt, then says he also can't because he spend his money on a bag of sky (which was just an inflated Ziploc bag)
* IdiosyncraticEpisodeNaming: Every episode of Season 1 had "Crash" in it somehow. This was ditched in Season 2, however.
* {{JerkAss}}: All of the Bernstein kids are this in some way
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Both Crash and Wyatt apply:
** Crash is reckless, irresponsible, and doesn't think before acting, but always tries to fix things when he does wrong.
** Wyatt is insensitive, selfish, kind of arrogant, gets very upset when things don't go his way, and blames stuff on others that wasn't their fault (like act like Mr. Poulos caused a blackout during a game with Wyatt that he (Wyatt) said he was going to win), but he's very forgiving, tries to do what's right, and helps those in need of it.
* LetsGetDangerous: Crash loves playing with this.
* LikesOlderWomen: Pesto, about age 12 is this towards Amanda who is 16 and clearly older than him. It was even implied once he flirts with his own mom (which he claims was so she would get him something to eat)
* MeaningfulName: Crash.
* OutnumberedSibling: Poor Wyatt is the only boy out of four kids.
* ReTool: The show will be replaced with ''Commando Crash'', featuring the Crash character but a new cast of characters and will star Cameron Ocasio from ''SamAndCat''.
* ShoutOut: The theme song starts with, [[KanyeWest "Yo, I'mma let you finish but..."]]
* SickEpisode: Crashtagion
* SpoiledBrat: Jasmine, emphasis on the brat
* StopHelpingMe: An InUniverse example in episode 2.
* TheSwearJar: Mr. Poulos has one. Except his swear jar is used to muffle out his swearing so no one hears him
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Everyday people on the show who meet Crash just instantly accept that there's a living puppet running around.
* VitriolicBestBuds
