'''Casi Ángeles''' (lit. meaning ''Almost Angels'') is an argentine live-action tv series about [[HeartwarmingOrphan a group of orphans]] who are exploited and forced into robbery by the orphanage director, [[MagnificentBastard Bartolomé]] [[ManipulativeBastard Bedoya]] [[VillainWithGoodPublicity Aguero]]. However, Bartolomé is running low on cash and in order to receive the inheritance of his dead aunt there are two conditions he must meet: keep the orphanage running and make his younger sister [[TheDitz Malvina]] get married. Her current boyfriend, [[AdventurerArchaeologist Nicolas Bauer]], arrives to the Bedoya Aguero mansion after getting engaged to her, accompanied by his son Cristobal and a savage named Mogli.

Around the same time, a young circus performer named [[TheProtagonist Cielo Mágico]] finds one of the girls from the orphanage, [[CheerfulChild Alelí]], stealing at her circus. She's able to save her from the man she robbed and gets her back to the orphanage, but on their way they find other kids from the orphanage putting up a show to steal. Alelí takes advantage of the ocassion to steal from a man, but Cielo catches her and takes the wallet she stole from her. However, the man (who happens to be Bauer) finds them and accuses Cielo of being a theif. Cielo runs away... with the wallet. She later goes to return it to Bauer, who realizes she isn't a bad person after all, and gets her a job... as maid in the Bedoya Aguero mansion... much to Malvina's dismay, who (unlike the other two) notices a LoveTriangle blooming.

The series had a total of four seasons. The first has Nicolás struggling on his search for the Eudamon Island as well as resolving the mystery of the missing heirs of the Inchausti family. At the end of the first season, Cielo [[spoiler: is saved from Bartolomé attack by a time portal, which opens and saves her just in time.]] The second season continues some time later, with Nicolas trying to find her while other main characters such as Thiago or Jazmín find identical keys, as well as a strange book with a total of seven locks. This season introduces Corporación Cruz (Cruz Corporation), commonly abreviated CC, which is the main antagonist of the season. The third season takes place after [[spoiler: the teenager cast -plus Lleca and Justina- are teleported to the future in the season 2 finale.]] Finally, the fourth season is called La Resistencia (The Resistance), which has the main characters [[spoiler: divided and some of them (like Mar or Lleca) with their memories erased and modified.]]

----
!! "Casi Ángeles" includes examples of:

* AbductionIsLove: Iberlucia seriously believed that by kidnapping Cristobal and Carla they'd love him again.
* AbusiveParents: Bartolome and Malvina's father is mentioned to have been abusive, specially towards him.
* AdventurerArchaeologist: Nicolas Bauer.
** His father Luis was one too, and his mother is currently one as well.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: And how! Let's count: Malvina for Bauer, Rama for Mar, Aleli for Lleca, Salvador for Cielo, Tefi for Thiago, Iberlucia for Cielo, Tefi for Simon, Melody for Thiago, and the list goes on and on...
* AllThereInTheManual: The "Team Angels" section at the end of every season two episode often provided background on some characters, aside from interviews [[BreakingTheFourthWall that often broken the fourth wall]] and funny moments.
* AloneAmongTheCouples: Towards the end of season 1, Thiago was with Mar and Tacho with Jazmin, leaving Rama as the only one in their five-people band that was alone (plus, his love interest had been recently PutOnABus).
** And in the second season, Tefi suffers from this. [[FallenPrincess Hard]].
* AlphaBitch: Tefi.
** Melody takes it even further, to the extend that Tefi (who was the main AlphaBitch in season 1) becomes her GirlPosse.
** Dolores, who appeared briefly in the first season, was this as well. However, the previous two later become [[LovableAlphaBitch lovable alpha bitches]], instead Dolores... [[PutOnABus is never heard of again.]]
** Juliette, Simon's french ex-girlfriend, has some traces of it as well.
* AlreadyMetEveryone: In episode 141, season 2, it is revealed that Caridad and Nacho had already exchanged glances at a young age, while Melody and Valeria had argued once.
* AscendedExtra: Tefi was initially just Thiago's [[GirlOfTheWeek girl of the week]], but after being revealed to be [[spoiler: Mar's step-sister]], she becomes more important to the plot. By the second season she is already a main character.
* BecomingTheMask: In the second season, Justina becomes really fond of [[spoiler: replacing Felicitas]], to the point where she actually warms up to those who she used to hate in the previous seasons, like Lleca or Aleli.
** [[TheMole Luca]] too. He was denied love during his life [[spoiler: until Franca saved his life]], and with the others he finally feels at home and part of a family.
* BittersweetEnding: In the end, [[spoiler: the main characters are able to go back to their original time and reunite with Cielo, Bauer and the others, having a happy ending as they also stop Luz's kidnapping to prevent the villains making her the BigBad.]] However, it's not as happy as it sounds; [[spoiler: Simon and Vale were left in the future, and in the last episode are heavily implied to have died on a massive explosion in 2030.]]
* BodyguardCrush: Justina on Bartolomé.
* CassandraTruth: Hope spends the entire first half of season four unsuccessfully trying to persuade the others living in the NE that they're being controlled by [[spoiler: the evil Government]], which had previously [[spoiler: brainwashed them]].
* CastFullOfPrettyBoys
* CatchPhrase: And how.
** Bartolomé: “WHAT THE HELL!?”
** Justina: A collection of [[BlackComedy jokes connected with death]] and everything that has the word [[GreekMythology ''Parca'']] in it.
** Marianella: Odd metaphors of mechanical sort, such as “You fill my spark plugs with oil!”
** Valeria has a [[VerbalTic habit of calling people “cat”]]; to the point that it has become her nickname. [[PlayedForLaughs Played for laughs]] on various occasions.
-->“Hey, ''cat'', it’s not like I use the word ''cat'' that much, you ''cat''!”
** [[LikeFatherLikeSon Malvina and Esperanza]] share “There’s no crisis!” and “The curl always comes back”.
** Nacho: “What's up, man?”
** Torito: “That’s life, buddy.”
* CheerfulChild: Alelí and Monito. Cristobal too, to some extend.
* ChildProdigy: Cristobal.
* CreepyChild: Luz, specially in the first season.
** Aleli for some time in season 2 as well, iwhile [[spoiler: she was being drugged by Justina.]]
* TheDragon: Justina was this to BigBad Bartolomé.
** Luca was this to Franca as well, and Franca herself is later revealed to be TheDragon of CC boss, [[spoiler: Juan Cruz.]]
* DefrostingIceQueen: Melody and Tefi.
** Justina as well.
** Malvina too, although she may be more of a FallenPrincess type.
* DisappearedDad: Rama and Aleli's bilogical father is never seen or heard of.
* TheDitz: Malvina.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Poor Rama has experienced Valeria's driving during a [[ChaseScene chase scene]] with the Police, and is no willing to do it again.
* DysfunctionalFamily: The orphanage on season two. Probably the best example is early in that season, on [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVwz7XWWQzU the first day of school]] (clip's not subtitled though).
* EncyclopaedicKnowledge: In season two, after her stay [[spoiler: in Eudamón]], Cielo becomes acquainted with pretty much everything, thus unfortunately losing her memory.
* EvilUncle: [[spoiler: Jazmin's uncle, who is also the murderer of her parents.]]
* ExtranormalInstitute: At Mandalay, the high school attended by the kids [[spoiler: in the future]], you're more likely to hear about Lateral Thought, Nonviolence and Riddles, rather than mainstream subjects such as Maths, English or Spanish.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: Luz]], who is the BigBad of season 4. However, it's not really like she voluntarily did the turn, [[spoiler: she was kidnapped while all the others were in the future (including Justina, the only one who could protect her) and forced into becoming evil]], so it isn't like she was EvilAllAlong. Plus, by the end of the season, [[spoiler: the main characters return to their original time and save her from being kidnapped.]]
** Thiago pulled this off for some episodes in the second season, during which he looks and acts [[LikeFatherLikeSon scarily like his father]], after Mar leaves him for Simon.
* FiveManBand:
** Thiago acts like [[TheHero The Hero]] most of the time, being [[TheChosenOne The Chosen One]] as well.
** Tacho is [[TheBigGuy The Big Guy]] (don't forget [[SecretIdentiy he's a superhero!]])
** Rama qualifies as [[TheSmartGuy The Smart Guy]], but he acts more like [[TheChick The Chick]]sometimes.
** Mar might be [[TheLancer The Lancer]] (she's also [[TheHero the Hero's]] girlfriend).
** Jazmin is supposed to be [[TheChick The Chick]], but she often forgets it, being to busy flirting with [[TheBigGuy the Big Guy]], or his [[LovesMyAlterEgo Alter Ego]]
** Guest star: Cielo as the MagicalGuardian.
* GovernmentConspiracy: [[PlayedForLaughs Played for laughs]] in episode 88, season 2, when the kids wrongfully assume that the Argentinean president is the head of CC.
** [[PlayedStraight Played straight]] in seasons 3 and 4.
* TheGreatWall: Built by the Government in order to separate the ones living in the NE from the so-called savages.
* GypsyCurse: In the first season, Jazmin curses Bartolomé in a fit of rage.
* HeartwarmingOrphan: Pretty much everyone in the orphanage ([[spoiler: Mar]] becomes the exception when she's taken in by her birth mother by the end of season 1, but she later returns to live with them when her mother moves to Spain).
* HeelFaceTurn: Malvina towards the end of the first season. She turns against her brother and Justina, siding with Bauer and Cielo, feeling deeply sorry for her actions. She redeems herself completely when she speaks against Bartolome in the trial.
--> '''Malvina''' : I heard screams every night. And that wasn't the worst; I covered my ears with the pillow so that I couldn't hear.
** Justina goes through this in the second season.
** [[TheDragon Franca]] as well. Unfortunately, [[KilledOffForReal it isn't enough to save her.]]
** Luca qualifies too, although he never was truly evil, he just didn't have much of a choice.
* HotGypsyWoman: Jazmin Romero.
** [[PosthumousCharacter Her mother]], who briefly appears in flashbacks, was one as well.
* HotTeacher: Matt.
** Bauer can count too, given his brief period as teacher in the orphanage.
* InSeriesNickname: Every character's got at least one nickname, but they tend to be many, from funny ones to ones which actually sound a bit offensive.
* IncestSubtext: In one episode, a drunk Malvina kisses her nephew Thiago.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: At first, the main characters are exploited by a powerful man. They later get involved in the fight against [[TheBigBad Juan Cruz]] and are eventually [[spoiler: sent to the future]] without previous warning, and aren't happy about it.
* KickTheDog: Juan Cruz just loves to do it. A shining example can be found in episode 124, season 3, where he gleefully reminds all the characters the hell they've been going through thanks to him.
* LamarckWasRight: Paz has inherited Cielo’s abilities.
* LoveTheme: Recurring; usually a song from the series (averted in Cielo and Salvador’s case, since their theme, Silencio, is taken from another show.).
* LukeIAmYourFather: The reveal that [[spoiler: Iberlucia is actually Cristobal's biological dad.]]
** A similar case happens in season 2 when Mar's DisappearedDad is revealed to be [[spoiler: her boxing instructor, Terremoto.]]
* MissingMom: Thiago's mother, who is mentioned all through the first season and finally appears in the second season.
** Carla, Cristobal's mother, who was in Africa getting treated for an unknown disease in season 1. [[spoiler: This, it is later revealed, was a lie Bauer told Cris to avoid hurting him, since Carla abandoned both of them for her lover Iberlucia.]]
** Rama and Aleli's mother abandoned them to get a job in the United States and raise money. However, once there, she remarries and starts a complete new life.
* [[spoiler: ModernStasis]]
* MoralityPet: Luz has been this for Justina for ten years. She claims Luz is the only thing that makes her feel human.
* [[spoiler: NeverTheSelvesShallMeet]]: One of the main rules in the third season, while much of the cast is [[spoiler: in the future]]
* TheNicknamer: Malvina. Due to her tendancy to sometimes talk in english instead of spanish like the rest of the cast, she often nicknames other characters by translading their names literally. The most common nickname she uses in the series is "Sky" for Cielo, but she also has nicknames for Cristobal (Christ), Justina (Justine), Nicolas (Nicky), and Luz (Light), among various others.
** Justina is this too, but her nicknames tend to be... er, less sweet.
* [[spoiler: NoNewFashionsInTheFuture]]
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: This troper has never heard of an angel who is super fast or possesses Super Hearing like Cielo Mágico does.
* [[spoiler: OurTimeMachineIsDifferent]]: During the four season, the main characters have [[spoiler: travelled in time]] through a magical, golden book, some teas and also a perfume. Mar hilariously points this out in the third season, [[spoiler: wondering if it wouldn’t have been easier to come up with a travel machine once and for all]].
* PassingNotesInClass: In her entrance test to high school, Mar gets stuck in her english exam, where she was supposed to translate the song "[[Music/TheBeatles Let It Be]]", and asks Jazmin for help through a note. However, she doesn't know either, but the guy who sat behind her did and, as he left to deliver his test, he left Mar a note with the song completely translated.
* PerfectPacifistPeople: The guys in Mandalay are expected to be this; not all the characters completely agree, particularly in season four, when the Evil Government has [[spoiler: brainwashed everyone who had been caught and the ones who are still free are continually chased after by the so-called [[StateSec Hunters]] ]].
* PortmanteauCoupleName: Examples include Thiaguella (Thiago/Mar), Tachmin (Tacho/Jazmín), Rameria (Rama/Valeria), Lucefi (Luca/Tefi)...
** Hilariously [[ShoutOut referred to]] in episode 102, season 4, when Tefi tries to figure out which couples will end up together.
-->'''Hope:''' What are you doing?
-->'''Tefi:''' I'm making predictions for the future. [...] Love predictions. Which of these do you like best, Simeria or Rameria? [...] Lucefi or Nachefi?
* PosthumousCharacter: Amparo, Jazmin's mother, who appears to her daughter in a dream and as they dance together, she warns her of the dangers to come.
** Jazmin's father appears as this too in the second season.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Mar gives one to Nacho in episode 55, season 2, after he has tried to frame her by putting a substance similar to cocaine in her bag.
* [[spoiler: LaResistance]]: In season 4.
* {{Robinsonade}}: In the first episodes of season two, a pregnant Malvina and Cristóbal show off their survival skills while stuck in the forest after a plane crash.
* SatelliteCharacter: Jero was built specially regarding this trope. We only get to know him from his interactions with Nacho and Melody, as well as his confrontations with Thiago and the others, but he never gets a scene for himself.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: All we know about Ciro, Malvina's husband by the end of the series, is that he owns a convinience store and lives near her. Period.
* [[spoiler: SeparatedByTheWall]]: Happens to many couples in season four, but Mar and Thiago are the clearest example.
* SheIsNotMyGirlfriend: Played straight in the third season with Valeria and Simon. They [[RelationshipUpgrade end up together anyway]].
* TeacherStudentRomance: Jazmin and Matt at the beginning of season 2.
** Also Valeria and [[spoiler: Juan/Victor]] in season 3.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Mar is the tomboy to Jazmin's girly girl.
** Curiously, Caridad (girly girl) and Vale (tomboy) have a similar relationship.
* TwinSwitch: A rare example that doesn't involve twins, but identical cousins (which are treated like twins by every character). In the first episode of season 2, [[spoiler: CC kidnaps Felicitas (Justina's identical cousin and new maid in the mansion) and exchanges her with Justina, who is in prison, in order to get Justina into the mansion and have an [[TheMole internal agent.]]]]
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: Cielo and Paz, mother and daughter, are both played by Emilia Attias.
** Same goes for Big Bad Juan Cruz and [[spoiler: his son Camilo]], played by Mariano Torre.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Bartolomé.
* WhoNamesTheirKidDude: Cielo Mágico literally means "Magical Sky"... it's pretty much impossible to be named like that in real life.
** Ultimately subverted when it's revealed that she made up her name. [[spoiler: Her real name is [[TitleDrop Angeles]].]]
* {{Yandere}}: Malvina was this in the first season, willing to [[MurdertheHypotenuse kill Cielo]] if that helped her win Nicolas back. [[HeelFaceTurn She gets better.]]
* YouCantFightFate: At least, not always. But, well, if you can [[spoiler: come back in time]] we can talk about it.
