Only a few short years after the defeat of Discord, events are unfolding within the land of Equestria. The Elements of Harmony, now grown and experienced, have become one of Equestria's greatest political forces. Their new tasks take them outside of Equestria's borders for months at a time, something that has never been problematic, until now.

Strange happenings have been reported all across Equestria and it's surrounding lands. A pedestal stands empty within the palace gardens. Rumors of brewing war are flying, and the general populace is growing worried.

With no Elements of Harmony to bail them out, it's up to the citizens of Equestria and beyond to stand up and handle things on their own, a daunting task that shall give birth to some of the greatest heroes ever known.

We are strong.

We will not back down.

We WILL protect those dear to us.

We. ARE. LEGENDS!

[[http://z13.invisionfree.com/Equestrian_Legends/index.php Equestrian Legends]] is an Original Characters only ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' roleplay forum. We have a passionate staff and lots of exciting plots waiting in the wings, and are looking for interested players.

There is a 100 word minimum word count. For those unfamiliar with the jargon, this means players are expected to type something in the region of one hundred words, or a fully fleshed paragraph, or more per post.

There's a monetary system in place to reward active members, and a fully stocked shop of options that would enable you to play as any of nearly a dozen races outside the standard pony trifecta, including some custom races created specifically for Equestrian Legends, and for the most loyal or passionate players, there is even the option to create a godlike Alicorn! Be warned, however, this privilege is exceptionally hard to gain.

The site has recently broken into two different groups, which are generally referred to as Prime (original) and Redux (new). Redux can be found [[http://eqleg.b1.jcink.com/ here.]]

[[folder:Equestrian Legends Prime]]

* AbsentMindedProfessor: Icefox. In the words of Nocturne, "We could pull somepony out of the loony bin, dress them up like you, give them your voice, and toss them in front of the class. Nopony would ever spot the difference."
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Solar Chaser flew into a cave to visit his friends Deep Impact and Jasmine, ramming into a dragon trying to kill the former in the process without even realizing it.
* AdventurerArchaeologist: Icefox, complete with a [[Franchise/IndianaJones whip and hat]].
* TheAlcoholic: Meadow was the guttered version of this before her move to Ponyville, though having mostly triumphed over her depression she got a slightly better handle on things. Still, take her away from her drinks for more than a single day, and prepare for some serious mood swings.
* TheAllConcealingI: For the sake of not messing around with genderless pronouns, Vii the flutterpony is played in the first person. Ey has no identifiable sex or gender identity.
* AllThereInTheManual: Between this tropes page and the steadily growing wikidot, there's an outstanding amount of background information that simply never comes up, as well as some that.... really should. [[spoiler: The origin of changelings, several unspecified T1 gods, ''how to summon a T0 to fight for your cause'', and so on]]
* AndYourRewardIsInfancy: Subverted. Solar Chaser has been trying to save Jasmine from the polymorphic curse, even confessing his love and attempting to invoke the True Love's Kiss trope. A lich comes by and turns him into a foal, not only destroying his former memories but outright erasing his cutie mark.
* ArtificialLimbs:
** Sonic Wings. After his wings were clipped off, he got these thrusters from [=TechSpecs=].
** [=TechSpecs=] is a NPC who lost one of his legs and made a robotic one to replace it.
* BadassLongcoat: Icefox turned the Cloak of Aristides into a magically-reinforced duster.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Lovecraft is the goddess of disease, and dispute her domain, she's actually a pretty good person.
* BatmanGambit: Subverted. Solar Chaser tries his best to employ this, but he always trips over himself.
* BerserkButton: Just try. Just try and debate whether the correct term is "sentience" or "sapience" and watch Vees start banning people with blind rage.
** in IC, Sonic Wings has the LOWEST tolerance toward any kind of racism. But it gets confusing once one hate their own kind.
** Averted by Utopia. She has a very high tolerance, [[{{DeathGlare}} but don't even try to get on her bad side]]
** Mention Chuck Norris while Nocturne(The player) is around, or put him in the same room with Lorventus. Watch the fireworks fly(particularly for the second one).
** Icefox takes a nearly obsessive amount of pride in his writing, so tl;dr is a quick way to get verbally punched in the face.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: Blackflame has less actual dialogue than most characters, but his internal monologues show that he's spending the time when he would be talking analyzing the situation and preparing for whatever is likely to come.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: The entire site's fourth wall is pretty easy to break, but two notable examples take place in the Jewel Quest plotline.
** Johnagold literally passes through a cloud wall with the number four written on it.
** Johnagold also gets angry at the person who plays as him for making him say something very out-of-character and extremely crude.
** Century is just made of this, due to her unfortunate nature as the physical incarnation of the TimeyWimeyBall .
** Lovecraft did this several times, remarking on how her roleplayer keeps forgetting her Prench accent.
* BreakTheCutie: Legacy got this with a series of unfortunate events happening to her in a row. Scarring stuff, a conselor. And then the infamous consoler Twisted Vision scared her to the point where she wouldn't even speak. {{Nice Job Breaking It Hero}}.
* BumblingDad: Johnagold. He truly does love his daughter Ginger Gold, but some of the parenting practices he's demonstrated are questionable at best. Somewhat justified in the fact that he's only recently become a father, with Ginger basically being suddenly thrown on his doorstep, and because of that, pretty much has no idea what he's doing.
* ButtMonkey: Solar Chaser. Its easier to make a list of scenarios where he hasn't been on the receiving end on pain or humiliation one way or another.
* CallingYourAttacks: Sadismo, during his reveal: FUEGOS DE INFIERNO!!!
** Icefox: PYROFUEGO!
* TheCasanova: Suisho, the kirin exile. [[spoiler:This is eventually responsible for getting him killed.]]
** Diamante Nature was a Man-Eater (Stallion-Eater?) in her youth, though she's gone rather odd since then.
* CurseEscapeClause: Princess Jasmine gets stuck with a curse that makes her as ugly outside as she is inside. The way out of the curse is within the curse herself. Its not enough to act like she has a soul, she needs to actually have one and be a decent person. Also. She got turned into a dragon with this curse.
* CuteMonsterGirl: Utopia. Bonus points for her being a [[{{EmotionEater}} Changeling]].
** Do not forget Love Ling, a changeling adopted by Utopia recently. She is so cute that she makes rainbows puke rainbows.
* DeathGlare: Utopia does this when she is really angry.
* DisabilityImmunity: Galaxy, due to a lack of eyes, is immune to most sight related tricks; also, the way she perceives magic (see below) means that she has a high resistance to mental magic, which relies on being subtle but is almost always noticeable to her.
* DisabilitySuperpower: Chiyo. As a tradeoff for [[{{EyeScream}} her eyes]], she gained a passive AuraVision ability, among [[{{BlindSeer}} other]] [[{{ISeeDeadPeople}} abilities]].
** Galaxy has a version of this as well; thanks to having developed a spell that lets her sense the magic of everything around her, she can also 'see' spells and counteract most non-cutie mark related or divine magics with some effort.
* DogsAreDumb: Completely averted by the Inukami race. Even their "dumbest" breed is actually pretty smart!
* ADogNamedDog: Johnagold's pet, Goaty. What a surprise! He's a goat!
* DontFearTheReaper: Would you really fear a cute unicorn wielding a magical scythe and wearing a purple cloak? How can one fear her?!
* DoomMagnet: Wishing Star. Fireflare and Snowbird catch the majority of the fallout, but it spills onto other characters pretty often.
** Depending on her adoption status this may end up DependingOnTheWriter .
* DoorstopBaby:
** Johnagold's daughter, Ginger Gold.
** Utopia, after her mother has met her destiny.
* TheDragon: During her Nightmare Moon phase, Anduriel put forth a good effort in becoming this for Luna, though it is implied that his eventualy morality got in the way.
** It's entirely likely that Ezreal would follow in, and exceed, his predecessor's footsteps if Luna ever turned again.
** Looks like Dusk Breeze might get here for Morpho too, if he carries on like this.
** After revealing Anduriel's betrayal Grevane's request to Morpho was to become this, more or less.
* DragonAscendant: After Morpho's death, Death Breeze is promoted to Queen of the Changeling Hive, along with Regent of Equestria. Of course, given their relationship, he handles the newfound responsibilities with more apathetic despair than a thirst for vengeance. After all, the core goal of the movement- Changeling Equality- had been met.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Beret Swirl does this in an attempt to inveigle free drinks.
* EldritchAbomination: After her transformation, Meadow mistook one of Lovecraft's illusions for this, since it was obviously alive, yet did not register on her newborn life sense, leading to an instinctive panic attack, before she was able to rationalize the correct explanation of Illusions.
** [[spoiler:But more seriously, there are a few of these hanging around, mostly in Tartarus. There's even a proposed Slender Pony anologue called the Nameless... or there was, anyway.]]
*** [[spoiler:No, dude. It's a slenderMAN analogue. The distinction is key. Not that you need to know that. -Vees]]
** [[spoiler:Dartbreak apparently has one of these hiding in his armor. It can take him over if he wears every piece, so he attempts not to wear it all... But if he puts on that last piece, [[{{AndIMustScream}} you know he's desperate]].]]
* TheEmpath: Chiyo, as a RequiredSecondaryPower of being able to communicate with the dead.
* EnemyMine: [[{{InvokedTrope}} Taken quite literally]] as both the name of a Thread between Chiyo and Heinrich, the titular [[{{EnemyMine}} Enemy Mine]] scenarios being between Chiyo and her crew of Changelings, and the alliance between her and [[{{TheStarscream}} The Kaiser's]] own [[{{BadassArmy}} Germane Royal Army]].
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Heinrich's response to his adoptive daughter Century's rather alarming attempts to bed him involve a lot of disgusted panic.
* {{Expy}}: A lot of Icefox's abilities and mannerisms were based on [[Literature/TheDresdenFiles Harry Dresden]].
* ExtremeOmnisexual: Century has a list of all the things she wants to sleep with while she has a physical form. It is... very complete.
* EyeScream: Galaxy's eyes were lost when she telefragged a rock in her childhood; she's still rather sensitive about her missing eyes.
* FantasticRacism: Celestia has a large amount of this toward changelings; up to, and including, a standing Kill on Sight order for any changeling regardless of tribe. One of her posts even implies she's looking for a way to sever them from the hive mind specifically so they can be [[JackBauerInterrogationTechnique violently interrogated]].
** [[FishOutOfTemporalWater Obsidian Blade]], [[spoiler: a soldier from roughly 4500 years prior to the events of Equestrian Legends]] had this in spades towards Gryphons, a race that he considers to be "hateful, bloodthirsty creatures". Fortunately, [[CharacterDevelopment Character Development]] kicks in, and while he still dislikes them, the only gryphons he actively shows distaste towards are those that reinforce the negative stereotypes associated with them.
* FantasyKitchenSink: Pegasi, Unicorns, Alicorns, dragons, Kirin, draconequii, Quetzalcoatl (plural?), and those are just some of the playable creatures, not to mention those that are only encounterable.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Obsidian Blade]] counts as this, having been [[spoiler: sealed inside a [[CrystalPrison crystalline prison]], sending him into a magical stasis of sorts for over 4500 years, possibly making him one of the [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld oldest mortal ponies, if not THE oldest mortal pony in Equestria]].]]
* FlatWhat: Johnagold's precise reaction to [[spoiler: Jewels pretending to be dead and outright treating what could have been an emergency like a joke]] in the thread Baptized in Jam.
* FriendlyEnemy: The changelings. Well, not ALL of them, but a rather good share.
* FriendlySniper: The pegasus Steel Wing is a HIGHLY skilled shot with a long bow; however, he is also friendly, easy going and outright refuses to take life seriously. Interestingly, this is actually in a conscious effort to Avert the ColdSniper archetype.
* FurryReminder: Jess the Diamond Dog is a living embodiment of this trope. She basically looks like a humanoid collie, and tends to behave much like a human most of the time, but...
** She loves to herd sheep the old-fashioned collie way.
** She likes to chew on bones and eats dog food on occasion.
** She chases cats.
** She plays fetch with herself by bouncing a ball off of a wall and catching it in her mouth.
* GreatOffscreenWar: In the thread ''Worth the Risk'', both Heinrich and Meadow make mention of the Battle of Stalliongrad, where the Old Germane Empire made an unsuccessful attack on the city of Stalliongrad. Even though the war between them has ended, Germane ponies and ponies from Stalliongrad still have burning hatred for one another.
* GreenThumb: The Daimyo of Osaklaw, Shuukaku Shikataro, is very much this. Considering that he doesn't have thumbs, it's more like Green Antlers, though.
* TheGrimReaper: Glowing eyes, wields a magical scythe and has wears a purple cloak very often. The only difference is that all she kills are the others' nightmares. And, sometimes, she rids the dreams of unwanted artifacts, as to clear up the place a bit.
* HamToHamCombat: In the chatbox, Icefox and Vees get into this rather distressingly often.
* HandicappedBadass: Though the definition of 'badass' is slightly stretched; the fact that Galaxy (a blind mare) is able to come and go into places that are considered dangerous as she pleases probably puts her here.
** A more concrete example is Chiyo, the blind swordskirin who will straight up cut you.
** And Sonic Wings. He relies on his thrusters for that extra punch, but still misses not having his wings.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Fireflare fights literal monsters, and has stated that therapy is a requirement for her job.
* HeroicBSOD: Johnagold, when he [[spoiler: finds out that Jewels is Ginger Gold's mother.]]Luckily, he recovers within a day due to Beret Swirl giving him a little bit of a pep talk.
* HeroicSafeMode: Moon Chaser does this after Meadow returns from the her brief jaunt across realities and 'disowns' her, implying that their relationship is unilateral at best, becoming White Pegasus, who is... a white pegasus. She obeys Meadow without question and basically has no emotions or thought functions, just going on reflex.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Johnagold and Chronius. BROS FOR ETERNITY!!!
%%* HotBlooded: Chiyo. See InformedAttribute.
* HybridMonster: Kirin are the result of crossbreeding a pony and a dragon.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Steel's preferred method of fighting with his bow.
* ImpromptuTracheotomy: Legacy receives one, and manages to survive in a fit of incredible luck.
%%* IncrediblyLamePun: Solar Chaser seems to be fond of these.
%%* InformedAttribute: Chiyo's [[{{HotBlooded}} hot-blooded]] nature.
* ISeeDeadPeople: Chiyo can indeed. JustifiedTrope in that [[spoiler:the last things she ever saw WERE dead people.]]
* JetPack: Sonic Wings has a pair of thrusters attached to the stubs where his wings used to be.
* KarmicTransformation: Celestia should have seen this one coming...
* KnightInSourArmor: Galaxy will whine, bitch and complain endlessly about how the world is fundamentally unfair and full of selfish jerks out for themselves; she will also stand her ground against a MadGod threatening to destroy it without even a moment's hesitation.
* LivingMoodRing: Shouka has eyes that change colors depending on her mood.
* TheLoonie: JM. Almost all of his characters are silly and there to provide comic relief, especially Johnagold.
* MadBomber: Skye Wishes is an exceedingly rare Heroic example; while she's still quite insane, she doesn't outright try to cause harm and is just trying to liven up a boring day.
* MadeOfIndestructium: Sonic Wings' thrusters, and perhaps some other artifacts
* MamaBear: Jewels fits this in relation to her children. She'll really whack you if you hurt her kids.
* MasterofIllusion: Glamour Lovecraft. While her special talent gives her a boost in visual illusions, she's shown the ability to create plenty of trickery for all the other senses as well. We're all grateful that she's on our side. Or at least, not against us.
* MayflyDecemberRomance: Most relationships between members of two different species, though in the case of Moon (a short-lived Pegasus) and Meadow (a long-lived Dragon), there is the suspicion that neither of them will live long enough to see a natural death.
* MeaningfulName: I suppose most of the characters follows this. Some more than the other.
* MissingMom: Nopony knows who Ginger Gold's biological mother is. If you ask her who her mother is, Ginger will giggle about it, then try to have you guess. Nopony who has tried to guess has guessed right. [[spoiler:Her mother is Jewels, who confesses to being her mother on Hearts and Hooves day.]]
* MultipleReferencePun: Beware the public bathrooms at Stall-Mart. They can be rather horrifying.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Inverted; throughout the pony/Changeling war, almost nopony other than Celestia, Morpho, and Dusk Breeze seem to care, let alone dislike their enemies.
* MythologyGag: The [[{{TranslationTrainwreck}} Shiny Little Sister Drink Inn]] has been a minor location on three roleplaying games involving Icefox and Nocturne now.
* {{Mithril}}: Speculated to be the metal used in the contruction of Sonic Wings' thrusters.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: Though it was coincidental, the discovery of the dragon passive ability to "see" life is suspiciously reminiscent of this, since it happily cut through Lovecraft's Cthulu illusion even though she was a major plot encounter.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Skye Wishes literally doesn't understand why her tackling and groping the wings on pegasi is a problem.
* NoseBleed: Johnagold does this when he [[spoiler:accidentally walks in on Moon Chaser and Meadow having sex.]]
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Snowbird acts borderline crazy most of the time, but only does it for fun and is actually very intelligent.
** Nocturne as well; he acts stupid because he hates others expecting a lot out of him despite him wanting to just live his life as he pleases. Better to be thought of as an idiot than be known to be smart, right?
** Core and Shuck are known to accuse Suisho of this, but he is, in fact, just that ignorant. Forcefully so.
* {{Otaku}}: Probably most of the community is composed of Otaku.
** Shouka is quite the Otaku! She once said ''"What are they?! A Sentai Squad?!"'' when she heard about the Changelings.
* PaedoHunt: Whenever the Germane mercenary Heinrich Ulrich Zurich shows up to 'recruit' foals, it's a good chance the storyline will head in this direction.
* PapaWolf: Do not, and I repeat ''do not'' even ''attempt'' to cause any kind of emotional or physical harm to Flight Risk or Ginger Gold. Johnagold will come after you, and it won't be pretty.
* ParentalIncest: Depending on your opinion on the legitimacy of Century's insistence that Moon Chaser is her "daddy," the direction their relationship is heading in could qualify.
* PerceptionFilter: Lovecraft's natural talent for illusion has created one over her cutie mark, for the sake of everypony's sanity, since it's a six dimensional shape beyond mere mortal comprehension.
* PropheticNames: Utopia. Guess what she is trying to achieve.
* QuirkyHousehold: Johnagold's family situation.
** Johnagold is the father in this weird setup. Two-thirds of the kids aren't even his.
** Jewels is the mother. She has perma-friendzoned Johnagold, making things very, very awkward. Don't even get me started on how she and Flight Risk live separately from Johnagold.
** Then, we have the kids: Flight Risk, Chiyo, and most recently, Ginger Gold. Flight Risk is obsessed with preventing suicides, Chiyo is a changeling (much to Julie's disgust), and Ginger Gold is a DoorstopBaby that resulted from Johnagold having drunk sex with some random mare around four years ago. ISN'T THIS FAMILY THE GREATEST?
** And if the weird kids aren't enough, there's the grandparents to look forward to. Aurum Claghoof (The Colonel), Johnagold's father, is a JerkAss, ViolentGlaswegian, and TheAlcoholic all at once, and Pink Lady Apple, Johnagold's mother (Who we've rarely seen) is one of those embarrassing, neurotic, over-concerned mothers who doesn't hesitate to show off Johna's baby pictures to everypony. EVERYPONY.
* RaiseHimRightThisTime: Lunafer's intention when he turned Glamour Lovecraft into a fawn.
* Really700YearsOld: Glamour Lovecraft, a 1,500 year old alikirin was turned into an 8 year old fawn.
* {{Samurai}}: The Okami Inukami are born with a sword in hands. Almost literally, except they don't come to this world wielding a swords.
* SenseiChan: Or Admin-chan in this case -- Vergess. Sure, she's responsible for teaching you all about the world [[spoiler:and also there's her (in)famous Sex Ed (TM) sessions]], but really, she's basically insane. And often hilariously drunk.
* ShapedLikeItself: Glamour Lovecraft's cutie mark is this. It's some kind of six-dimensional shape that even she cannot see without divine assistance in the form of a pair of magic glasses, and when she attempts to make it visible using her powers of illusion, the best anyone can come up with to describe it is, "Her cutie mark is of... a cutie mark."
* ShoutOut: Kirin are often jokingly compared to the [[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Dovahkiin]] [[RunningGag several times]], to the point that Lovecraft literally uses a dragon shout to summon Anduriel, among other things.
** AdamThePony will often joke about wanting to see Chiyo perform a [[Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar 100 Crack Fist]] or [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Erupting Burning Finger]], usually as a nod to her often HotBlooded nature.
** Utopia once said "Do not hate equestrians. If you cannot live with them, then at least do them no harm. For theirs is already a hard lot.". [[http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Lisa Doesn't that sound familiar?]]
** Sonic Wings knows how to do [[Franchise/{{Metroid}} Space Jump]]
** Part of Chiyo's transformation is a direct shout-out to one particular room in ''VideoGame/SilentHill3''.
** Once again, Sonic Wings. This time is about one of his former experiments in making fireworks using lemons. Resulted into an old barn being blown sky high.
* ShoutOutThemeNaming: [[VideoGame/AeroFighters Sonic Wings]] will sound familiar to any Shoot'Em Up fan. [[spoiler:Actually, this shout out was [[AllAccordingToPlan just as planned]].]]
* SuccubiAndIncubi: Changelings generally play the succubus role, but there are other types. Specifically, those that feed off love, fear, despair, and similar emotions.
* SuddenNameChange: So, those Prench fraternal twins, you know, the ones that ran off the the Badlands as foals? Yeah. Good luck recalling whether Coeur (or is it Core?) is the brother or the sister. And hey, wasn't the mare's name Ame like three days ago? 'Cause it's Nath now. True story.
* TalkingWithSigns: Shuck
** Chiyo once did this with Julie during her time in the hospital after an incident involving a DJ.
* {{Telefrag}}: Galaxy did that with a rock once... ONCE...
** Utopia is afraid of accidentally doing this. She telefragged a wooden crate, but the result was that the crate was "crushed by a singularity". To prevent telefragging, she uses a changeling as a beacon for her destination. Even so, she still prefers to avoid teleporting.
* ThereAreNoTherapists: For a role play about little marshmallow horses, the sheer number of mental problems is astounding. Of all the player characters the only therapist is Twisted Vision, however, her ability as a therapist is limited by her being fantacilly devoted to Discord and the fact that her default solution to any problem is to mind rape someone.
* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: Meadow nearly dies and is transformed into a dragon. Fireflare explicitly states that there's a tendency for instincts to be intense during initial transformations.
** Later, when this transformation is undone, and she loses her 'hoarding instinct,' she likewise loses a lot of the emotional intensity that had defined her relationship with Moon Chaser.
* {{Tomboy}}: Shouka is a [[http://s13.zetaboards.com/Equestrian_Legends/topic/6950536/1/ Lovely Tomboy]]
* ThoroughlyMistakenIdentity: Sonic Wings fell victim to this. Guards believe he was a changeling and he was arrested and tortured under the palace. One can only wonder where his clipped wings are now...
* [[ThoseTwoGuys Those Two [=NPCs=]]]: Swali and Ndege are recurring and fairly popular Pundali [=NPCs=]. They always appear together, no one actually knows if they're romantically involved or not, and oh yeah, no one can ever remember which one is which. Is Swali the big, manly sphinx? Is Ndege the delicate changeling-gone-farasus? The world may never know. [[spoiler: Ndege is the changeling/farasus, Swali is the sphinx, this really shouldn't be that hard to remember, but no one ever does.]]
* {{Tragedy}}: The changelings suffered a heavy loss from Morpho's fall, and some other characters suffered the most with her death.
* TragicDream: May or may not be averted by Utopia. This all depends on how things will flow.
* TragicMonster: Dream Reaper faced this when she realized she was one of the changelings. And thus, Utopia was "born".
%%** Maybe this happened to Morpho as well?
%%** Chiyo has suffered a similar fate.
* TragicVillain: Morpho and most likely many changelings. They tried to achieve acceptance by force, but it only makes things worse at them.
* TransformationTrauma: Chiyo's transformation. To wit, Chiyo had been getting suffering from insomnia for some time, confused with what she truly was, and what her friends were. Her dreams hinted at the fact for a bit until [[http://s13.zetaboards.com/Equestrian_Legends/topic/6956393/1/#new this thread]], which in a nutshell, [[NothingIsScarier had her trekking through a place she couldn't see, voices talking to her throughout to the point of madness, up until she was forced down]] and [[CatapultNightmare forcibly awakened by what could only be implied to a swarm of changelings.]] Not but moments later, she looks [[TomatoInTheMirror directly into a mirror,]] revealing she is bleeding a [[{{Squick}} deep black mass and slowly turning into a cocoon]], thereby undergoing a form of {{Metamorphosis}}. The worst part? This is all happening [[TearJerker directly in front of Flight Risk]].
%%* {{Unicorn}}: Yep.
* {{Utopia}}: Utopia herself is trying to achieve this! Of course, through peaceful means.
* ViolentGlaswegian: Johnagold's father, the Colonel. In a flashback of his fourth birthday, Johnagold recalls the Shetlander getting into a fight at a SuckECheeses just over a forgotten reservation.
** COME AT ME, LAD!
* WeaksauceWeakness: Glamour Lovecraft, the god of disease, is allergic to grapes.
* WordofGod: When in doubt, Vees and Silver probably have an answer for you. Maybe. Well, it's possible.
** If they don't have something, Icefox can usually make something up that sounds right.
* {{Yandere}}: Morpho, female king of the fear tribe of Changelings, is an obsessive version of this, happy to not only cut up poor Dusk Breeze for "allowing" himself to be threatened by literal gods, but to make ominous plans [[spoiler:to breed a race of pony/changeling hybrids destined to suck the life right out of every god in the world so that none are left to challenge their supremacy.]]
* {{Youkai}}: The whole Inukami race. [[AsianFoxSpirit Kitsune]], {{Tanuki}}, Okami and Inugami. And, yes, one can be [[ShapedLikeItself Inugami Inukami]].
* YoureDrinkingBreastMilk: In a non-canon incident, Johnagold was a victim of this. [[spoiler: It lead to him confessing to having a lactation fetish. Which got him beat up.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Equestrian Legends Redux]]
More tropes will go here as we get them.
* TheAgeless: [[spoiler: [[FishOutOfTemporalWater Obsidian Blade]] is this, having been exposed to the WorldHealingWave that transformed a large number of Changelings into Flutter Ponies. Not that he is aware of this fact, however. There are others that have been affected by this wave, with varying effects, from simply becoming unable to die through old age, to outright ascension into godhood.]]
* AkashicRecords: The name of one of the characters, often shortened to just Kashi.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Subverted, at first it seems that Shadow Ritual, a unicorn with a cutie mark in dark magic, would be this, but then it turns out he's just evil.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Solar Chaser. Everyone wants a piece of that hot, golden flank of his. Everyone. Including previously straight stallions, impossibly ancient deities, more or less all of Mane-Ji, and the occasional lesbian.
* FlorenceNightingaleEffect: Legacy seems to display this effect with many of the less well off people she meets. Abet, its more on a friendship level... So far.
* GreatBigBookOfEverything: Kashi gets one of these as her boon from Ra.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: While everypony is out to fight Apep, Solar Chaser is saving Mane-Ji from the intense cold.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: Despite being a pegasus and preferring subtler spells, Kashi fits this trope pretty well.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Played straight, Solar Chaser acts like an idiot with a love for bad puns, but he uses this facade to hide his pain.
* SequenceBreaking: A truly epic example occured when [[spoiler:Obsidian Blade, in order to gain the blessing of Ra, asked him to free the Princesses, resulting in this trope. The best part about it all? [[IndyPloy He had no idea it would actually work]]!]]
* SoapOperaDisease: The main reason behind [[FishOutOfTemporalWater Obsidian Blade]] being [[spoiler: sealed in stone for almost 2000 years in Redux. Though the illness has no name, (yet) its symptoms are described by Obsidian himself [[http://eqleg.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=28&view=findpost&p=255 here]].]]
* UltimateUniverse: While Redux is most definitely a ReTool, the setting is left largely left unchanged, save for minor differences meant to incorporate Season 3 Canon from [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic the show]] that both the original site and Redux were inspired by.
