!Tropes
------------
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Dean briefly dismisses Sam's "fairy tales coming to life" theory as "a little crazy." Sam counters thusly:
-->'''Sam:''' What, crazier than every day of our lives?\\
'''Dean:''' {{Touche}}.
* AtTheCrossroads: Sam this time. Though he doesn't actually make a deal.
* BecauseISaidSo: Dean, although, according to Sam, their dad is the only one for whom this is a valid argument.
* TheBigBadWolf: A young man with a Wile E. Coyote tattoo gets [[MindControl hypnotized]] into being this.
* BoomHeadshot: How Sam disposes of the crossroads demon with the modified Colt.
* Creator/TheBrothersGrimm
* ChekhovsGunman: The crossroads demon mentions that her boss is the one who holds power over Dean's soul. We eventually [[Recap/SupernaturalS05E10AbandonAllHope meet him]] in Season 5, and he will go on to become a major rival and occasional ally of the Winchesters all the way until [[Recap/SupernaturalS12E23AllAlongTheWatchtower the end]] of Season 12.
* ComatoseCanary: While comatose, Callie's spirit somehow makes the people in her town reenact the fairy tales read to her by her father, including making a man act as the Big Bad Wolf from ''Literature/LittleRedRidingHood'' and ''Literature/TheThreeLittlePigs'' and an old woman act as the cannibal witch from ''Literature/HanselAndGretel''.
* CreepyChild: Callie's spirit.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette:
** The crossroads demon's vessel, again.
** Callie.
* MeaningfulName: The Snow White equivalent is named "Callie", which means "beautiful" in Greek.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Callie, in keeping with her Snow White theme.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The crossroads demon.
* RedRidingHoodReplica: In this episode, a little girl in a red jacket loses her grandmother and is abducted by a man with a Wile E. Coyote tattoo as a result of a ghost forcing a town's inhabitants re-enact fairy tales. She survives due to the intervention of Dean Winchester, a career monster hunter who takes on the role of the huntsman who saves Red Riding Hood in the fairy tale. Also counts as LittleDeadRidingHood since the girl is marked for death and only lives because of Dean.
* TerribleArtist: Sam, when pretending to be a police sketch artist.
* TitleDrop:
-->'''Dean:''' Oh, wait, I thought all those things ended with everybody living happily ever after.
-->'''Sam:''' No, no, not the originals. See, the Grimm brothers' stuff was kinda like the folklore of its day, full of sex, violence, cannibalism...it got sanitized over the years, turned into Disney flicks and bedtime stories.
* TooDumbToLive: When you're a crossroads demon, and a truly desperate man armed with a demon-killing Colt revolver comes to see you in order to try and save his brother, dismissing him outright probably isn't a good idea. Pouring salt into the wound and rubbing it in by insulting his brother and laughing about how he's going to Hell doesn't help. Refusing to make a deal and telling the desperate man that the contract for his brother's soul is in the hands of another, far more powerful demon and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it at all is the final nail in the coffin. The scene ends with one of the two getting a BoomHeadshot, and it's not the desperate brother holding the demon-killing Colt.
