Having solved the problems with air and power, the ''Destiny'' is now facing a shortage of water. The ship drops out of FTL with a planet available by stargate, but the environment is so hostile that the only way to get water is by using the two available E.V. suits. Meanwhile, the water they do have is disappearing at an alarming rate.

!Tropes
* DramaPreservingHandicap: It's explicitly stated that even though going through the star recharged ''Destiny'', it is only capable of achieving 40% of its originally-designed power capacity due to its great age. While this is still enough for standard ship functions such as life support and weapons, the ship is unable to maintain the power necessary to dial a nine-chevron address, preventing the crew from simply dialling Earth and getting home that way.
* KillItWithFire – Sgt. Greer is sure proud of his HomemadeFlamethrower, and way too eager to use it.
* MotivationalLie – because water is the priority, both T.J. and Rush lie to Col. Young about how grave the situation with the dust creatures is so he can focus on that. Eli has problems with this.
* PropRecycling: The Ancient E.V. suits are modified versions of the Vanir power armor from the ''Stargate Atlantis'' Seaosn Five episodes [[Recap/StargateAtlantisS05E10FirstContact "First Contact"]] and [[Recap/StargateAtlantisS05E11TheLostTribe "The Lost Tribe"]]. In-Universe, it's always possible the Vanir's suits were actually originally Ancient-manufactured suits (and that this design aesthetic had been constant across generations of Ancients).
* StarfishAliens – the dust creatures that have been consuming the water are possibly trying to communicate, as they mimic human forms. It's uncertain whether are not they are sapient.
* SurveillanceAsThePlotDemands – Young gets Eli to use the “Kino” floating cameras to observe crew members.
* YouAreInCommandNow – Young to T.J.
