!!This episode provides examples of:

* AnachronicOrder: This episode takes place after the Season 2 finale's Boba-trilogy (2x20/21/22), but before the Season 1 finale's Hostage Crisis (1x22).
* BigEgoHiddenDepths: This is one of the few times when Ahsoka showes just how insecure of her own abilities she is, and how the overconfident and snippy personality is just a facade.
* CivilWar: Anakin is sent to deal with one on Balith.
* ColdSniper: Aurra Sing.
* ContinuityPorn: There were so many Continuity nods in this one episode that it certainly qualifies:
** In the 1x06 episode Downfall of a Droid, Anakin told Ahsoka, that first hand experience is the best teacher. She tried to convince Anakin to let her go with him, by recounting it to him.
** Bannamu's picture from 2x11 Lightsaber Lost appeared in the library scene, when Ahsoka was looking over the profiles of various criminals.
** Ahsoka and Padmé playing dejarik, a chess-type board game. Also Padmé recounting how insecure she felt early on during her reign as Queen, before she TookALevelInBadass
** When Padmé's ship arrives at Alderaan, Leia's theme is played.
** The Alderaan soldiers had a helmet shaped like the helmet of the rebel soldiers in Film/ANewHope.
** In her speech at the conference, Padmé recounted the events of the invasion of Naboo, including the death of Qui-Gon Jinn.
** After Ahsoka foiled her second attempt on Padmé's life, Aurra Sing recognised her as the "brat who left her for dead" in Leathal Trackdown, and explained that she survived, because Hondo Ohnaka rescued her.
* CoolBigSis: Padmé acts like this towards Ahsoka.
* DamselOutOfDistress: Continuing her role, Padmé is prepared for an assination attempt.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Aurra wasn't fooled by the droid-bait Ahsoka tried to use to catch her.
* DesignatedGirlFight: After the Season 2 finale teased and trolled us with it, Ahsoka and Aurra finally get their own show down. It is awesome.
* DreamingOfThingsToCome: Ahsoka's first visions of the assasination attempt came in the form of dreams.
* DreamWithinADream: On Padmé's ship, Ahsoka had a dream of herself, being watched in her sleep, and wakened up by Aurra Sing.
* Fanservice: There was a couple of inexuseable shots on Aurra's butt, and Ahsoka's bending over while talking with Padmé, on the balcony of the Alderaan castle.
* GunsAkimbo: At the end of the episode Aurra Sing used two blaster pistols against Ahsoka, and injured her.
* LooseLips: Ziro, after Ahsoka lied to him, that Aurra has confessed being hired by him, accidentally blubered out this line:
--> Ziro: She (Aurra) told you what? Impossible. I should've hired someone better. Oops
* NotQuiteDead: Aurra was presumed to have been killed when she crashed with Slave-1 in Leathal Trackdown. In this episode she's revealed to be very much alive.
* OnlyAFleshWound: Both Padmé's and Ahsoka's wounds.
* ShoutOut: The black painting around Aurra's eyes are very similar to the one painted around the eyes of Daryl Hannah's character in Film/BladeRunner.
* YouCanNotKillAnIdea: Played with and invoked. Everyone assumed Aurra was hired for the assasination, because someone wanted to silence the peace activists. After the first failed attempt, Padmé gave a speech about how futile it is, because even if they manage to "strike her voice down, a chorus of thousands shall rise up in it's place". However as it turned out, Aurra's employer had a much Revenge simpler reason.
