Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram host a show recounting the Top Ten Phineas and Ferb musical numbers from Season One, as chosen by ''Phineas and Ferb'' fans on the internet. Unbeknownst to Major Monogram, Doofenshmirtz plans to use the countdown to hypnotize the audience with a device called the Music Video Mind Control-inator.

!!Tropes
* ActorAllusion: Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram are hosting the show, alluding to the fact that they are portrayed by the series' creators, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
* AgonyOfTheFeet: Doofenshmirtz runs over Monogram's foot with his monster truck as they announce the music video coming in at #7.
* ArtEvolution: The extended versions of "S.I.M.P." and "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" were made for this episode, as evidenced by Candace's nose having a brown outline instead of a black one in the new footage.
* TheCameo: The title characters mostly appear in archive footage, with the exception of a new scene with the obligatory "Where's Perry" and the obligatory line from Ferb.
* ClipShow: The first of a handful.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Doof is surprised that Monogram is paid for this program, since this is his part of his 200 hours of community service.
-->'''Major Monogram''': This show is only half an hour long.\\
'''Doofenshmirtz''': I have to do this 400 times?!
* ContinuityNod: When Doofenshmirtz says, "Well, maybe I should give you an emotionally scarring front-story!":
-->'''Monogram:''' [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext That doesn't even make any sense!]]\\
'''Doofenshmirtz:''' [[Recap/PhineasAndFerbItsAMudMudMudMudWorld It doesn't have to, I've got a monster truck!]]
* EarlyBirdCameo: In production order, this is the first appearance of Irving.
* EmbarrassingFirstName: Dr. Doofenshmirtz takes the time to poke fun at Major Monogram for having the first name "Francis".
* {{Fanservice}}: Some of the new animation made for "S.I.M.P." is of Candace with her back to the camera shaking her booty.
* ForegoneConclusion: It's obvious that the writers knew that "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" would be named number one, since Doof's line before the song is "Not the number one most requested Phineas and Ferb song! (New extended version, never before seen.)" And there is new animation of Major Monogram and Agent P singing and clapping along. Although, there is some animation suggesting that they were hoping that "Truck Driving Girl" ("That doesn't even make any sense" "It doesn't have to, I've got a monster truck!") and the "Perry the Platypus" theme (Perry's cameo on the countdown special) would make it onto the list.
* FourFingeredHands: Doofenshmirtz says that after the commercial, they'll show the final four videos, while holding up all of his fingers on one hand but with his thumb lowered. He glances at his hand and realizes that he is only holding up three fingers, so he starts holding up his thumb as well.
* HypnoticHead: The music video that accompanies Doofenshmirtz's song is a spinning Doofenshmirtz head against a swirly background. Provides the trope page image.
* InventionalWisdom: One can only speculate on why Doofenshmirtz felt the need to put the eject button on the opposite side of his -inator.
* LameRhymeDodge:
** When Dr. Doofenshmirtz blurts out about using his "Music Video Mind Control-inator", he claims he meant to say "Mimes control my gator", which is accompanied by two mimes trying to distract an alligator.
** Later, Doofenshmirtz claims his boast about plotting to "enslave the Tri-State Area" was actually him planning to "engrave my pie-plate carrier", pulling out a silver tray to back up his claim.
--->'''Doofenshmirtz''': Look, it's silver. It was a wedding gift, I got it in the divorce. That's right, ladies, I'm available!
* MindControlMusic: Doofenshmirtz enacts his plan to enslave all the studio audience members with a catchy tune. "My name is Doof, and you'll do what I say, whoop, whoop!"
-->''His name is Doof, and I'll do what he says, whoop, whoop!''
* OverlyNarrowSuperlative: While struggling with Perry the Platypus over the controls for the Musical Mind Control-inator, Doofenshmirtz complains "Out of all the semi-aquatic mammals I hang with, you are ''truly'' the most uncooperative!"
* ReCut: Special extended versions of "Busted", "S.I.M.P. (Squirrels in My Pants)", and "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" are shown.
* RecycledAnimation: The extended version of "Busted" uses the same animation from the chorus.
* SubvertedCatchphrase: Monogram tells a caged Doofenshmirtz "Say goodnight, Doofenshmirtz", expecting him to say "Goodnight, Doofenshmirtz", but instead, he says...
-->'''Doofenshmirtz''': You know, someday, I'll get out of this cage, [[BrickJoke but your name will still be Francis]].
* TotallyRadical: Monogram attempts to use modern slang, but Doof calls him out on it as a CallBack to a joke from "[[Recap/PhineasAndFerbAtTheCarWash At the Car Wash]]".
-->'''Doofenshmirtz''': You know that whole street thing? You really can't pull it off.

* VocalEvolution: It becomes clear that the extended version of "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" was recorded after Creator/VincentMartella's voice changed, as he still has a higher voice when he introduces the Ferbettes and during the choruses, but when he sings the verses, he has his lower voice.
* WhatAreRecords: After a MonkeysOnATypewriter gag, Dr. Doofenshmirtz complains about how unlikely it is that the kids [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall watching will know what a typewriter is]].
* WhenIWasYourAge: Doof complains that the music is too loud and kvetches about, "Kids today with their rock and their roll."
* WhoWritesThisCrap: Monogram complains about the awkward jokes he's forced to read, and asks Carl "Who wrote these cue cards?". Carl responds "Agent M, sir," and it cuts to a literal monkey on a typewriter.
