After locating and retrieving the Amulet of Juatchadoon, adventuring archaeologist duo Ohio Flynn (Phineas Flynn) and Rhode Island Fletcher (Ferb Fletcher) set off to Central America to help Damsel in Distress Isabella find the Lost Temple of Juatchadoon and her missing mother. However, Dr. Doofenshmirtz has other plans for the amulet - to awaken the evil corn colossus to give him the power to destroy the world.

!!Tropes:
* AccordionMan: The Abominable Snowman crushes Norm, turning him into this. Being a cartoon, he recovers in the next shot, of course.
* AdventurerArchaeologist: Ohio Flynn, Rhode Island Fletcher, Isabella, and New Hampshire Garcia-Shapiro. Doofenshmirtz is an EvilCounterpart to them.
* AnachronismStew: Candace says she smells a big story, "Either that or they haven't invented deodorant soap yet."
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Isabella is a Femme Fatale, Ingenue, Amateur Archaeologist, a Licensed Tile and Grout Installer (a girl's gotta make a living), and a certified DamselInDistress. And she later adds Dirty Double Crosser when she ends up betraying Ohio and Rhode Island.
* ArtisticLicenseHistory: This story takes place in 1914, however the punchline of the creation of the Panama Canal makes no sense as the canal was built ten years earlier in 1904.
* BigEntrance:
** Doofenshmirtz has a little light show as he stands atop a descending pillar with banners with the letter "D" unrolling behind him when he captures the group at the Lost Temple.
** Perry [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYeGXgtznuQ completely one-ups]] Doofenshmirtz's entrance, [[ThereWasADoor blowing a hole into the temple room]] and walking in ''with a troupe of [[ChorusGirls backup dancers]]'' as they sing his theme song, and then he frees everyone without missing a single dance cue.
* BigfootSasquatchAndYeti: Ohio and Rhode Island, as well as Doof and Norm, are chased by the Abominable Snowman in a cave.
* CardCarryingVillain: Parodied. Upon being called a dirty double-crosser, Isabella presents a card with "dirty double-crosser" written on it. Subverted because she only double-crosses Ohio and Rhode Island because her mother was being held hostage.
* CuttingTheKnot: Twice. First Isabella breaks the case for the key to the temple door instead of solving the puzzle to unseal it, then during the fight with the corn collosus Ohio smashes the control amulet rather than learning how to control it.
* DaEditor: Linda is a newspaper editor for the Daily Tableaux in this story.
* DamselInDistress: Isabella's 1914 counterpart is a certified damsel in distress.
* {{Elseworld}}: Transplants the Phineas cast into the year 1914 as Indiana Jones {{exp|y}}ies.
* FoodFight: One breaks out in the Rusty Pickaxe when the customers revolt over a lack of maraschino cherries.
* FunWithAcronyms: This timeline's version of Agent P is a member of the Secret Order of the Knights Without a Cool Acronym, or SOKWCA.
* GlobalIgnorance: Major Monogram thinks he's in Egypt because there are pyramids nearby.
* GlorySeeker: Though Ohio is similar to Phineas in many ways, one thing sets him apart: He's opportunistic and seeks fortune and glory.
-->'''Waiter (Lawrence):''' Hello gents, what's your fancy?\\
'''Ohio:''' Well, fame, glory, money, and the preservation of semi-mystical historical treasures, but we'll settle for hot fudge sundaes.
* IHaveYourWife: Doofenshmirtz holds Isabella's mother hostage to force her to betray Ohio and Rhode Island.
* IntrepidReporter: Candace is a journalist who follows Ohio and Rhode Island for her scoops.
* JustSoStory: Turns out this was the origin story of the Panama Canal.
* LeftTheBackgroundMusicOn: Perry's theme in his BigEntrance is supplied by a troupe of backup singers.
* MyCard: Isabella has a card for each thing she does for a living, rather similar to how in other episodes, she has a ludicrous amount of Fireside Girl patches.
* PopcornOnTheCob: The Corn Colossus drops into a fire pit, and Ohio says, "Get ready for some popcorn!" But when he emerges from the pit, he is still on fire. Ohio is surprised that he didn't pop. He finally pops when the amulet is destroyed.
-->'''Ohio''': Oh, ''now'' he pops! How does that make any sense?!
* PunnyName: The name "Juatchadoon" is a pun on Isabella's catchphrase, "What'cha doin'?".
* RaidersOfTheLostParody: This episode is an obvious Indiana Jones parody.
* ARareSentence: When Dr. Doofenshmirtz sicks the Corn Colossus on Perry the Platypus and his backup singers.
-->'''Ohio Flynn:''' We've got to lead that corn colossus away from those backup singers!\\
'''Isabella:''' OMG, coolest sentence ever! Somebody write that down.
* RelatedDifferentlyInTheAdaptation: Candace is merely a reporter for a newspaper and shows no relation to Ohio and Rhode Island. Also, Linda is DaEditor and not her mother. Lawrence appears as a waiter with no direct relation to Ohio and Rhode Island.
* RunningGag: Perry wearing a fez despite not being in Egypt is pointed out multiple times.
* SarcasticClapping: This is how Doofenshmirtz makes his entrance. When he and Norm get trapped in the snow, Norm attempts this.
-->'''Doofenshmirtz''': [[LampshadeHanging Way too soon for a]] CallBack, Norm.
* StatingTheSimpleSolution: When Ohio Flynn is trying to think of a way to get a key out of a glass case, Isabella suggests "Or, [[CuttingTheKnot we could hit it with a rock]]!" [[ChekhovsGag Later in the episode]], Ohio suggests the same idea to destroy the amulet that controls the Corn Colossus.
* TravelMontage: Wouldn't be an Indiana Jones parody without a map sequence. There are several, with the last one just going from one side of the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea. The boat's captain (played by Baljeet) explains there is no way to get to the temple by boat.
* UncertainDoom: Doofenshmirtz and Perry's 1914 counterparts, still busy arguing, don't appear to make it out of the Lost Temple before it collapses on top of them.
* VariationsOnAThemeSong: "He's a semiaquatic egg-laying mammal of action!" ("In a fez!") "He's got more than just mad skill! / He's got a beaver tail and a bill!" ("And a fez!")
* WholePlotReference: The episode as a whole [[RaidersOfTheLostParody is one to]] ''Franchise/IndianaJones''.
** The title is a reference to ''Film/IndianaJonesAndTheTempleOfDoom''.
** Phineas, Ferb, and Vivian (Isabella's mother)'s 1914 counterparts are archaeologists who have an American state as their first name (Ohio, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire respectively).
** Upon entering the temple, the gang is [[Film/RaidersOfTheLostArk chased by a rolling boulder]].
** Doofenshmirtz is dressed similarly to [[Film/RaidersOfTheLostArk René Belloq]], and intercepts Ohio and Rhode Island at the beginning in a manner similar to how Belloq intercepts Indy at the beginning of ''Raiders''.
** Isabella betraying Ohio and Rhode Island is a reference to how Elsa betrayed Indy in ''[[Film/IndianaJonesAndTheLastCrusade The Last Crusade]]''.
** As the temple is crumbling, Doofenshmirtz remarks "Probably my face will melt now, and for what?" which is a reference to the fates of Arnold Toht and Colonel Dietrich at the end of ''Raiders''.
